It is not just a ROMPLER. It is a fully fledged synthesis engine in it's own right. The fact that it comes with so many sounds makes people believe that that is all it is. It is so much more. Wavetable synthesis being one example.


The tweaking is not responsive, because the synth is so complex, you have to hit the right buttons to get the right response. When you do, this thing howls...


Does Wusik 7 come with extra content. I was under the impression that it was just a port.

Again, you might think the sounds mundane, but when put through the Wusik engine you can turn anything into almost anything else.


I hope Rob from Ametrine keeps doing some more stuff. He was a very responsive person to deal with. I hold him in very high regard.

Plus he had some very very nice skins that you could only get if you asked him nicely

Rob put a lot of time and effort into his sounds. This was a guy that you could tell that really loved his music.


Yes, there were downsides to it- One being the soundsets were a lot bigger in size than they needed to be. He admitted this to me himself, apologized and promised to make good.

I can not think of one sound designer that did stuff for Wusik that was not up to snuff.



I would buy sounds from http://www.ametrineaudio.com in a hearbeat if they put any new stuff out. Top sounds. Top guy. That's all I ask for - a bit of feedback - Rob was always very responsive and amicable.


The Ravenator series was very under-rated in my book. Good. More fun for me.


I always blah on about how I don't buy sounds from third parties. Well, I tell a lie, I bought a few from Rob at Ametrine Audio.


My rant is mainly academic of course, because, you get most of those sounds included in the standard Wusik package. Look under Ametrine - it is at the top of the preset list in the Wusik presets.

You will not be disappointed. Just find the right buttons and go straight to audio heaven.

I have bought it a few years ago. I never have regretted it. It's definitely worth the money, and $20 isn't much.

I still haven't had the time to really get into Wusikstation, so sometimes it just sleeps in my folder...

(In the meantime William Kalfelz isn't sleeping, every time he has a new idea - not always good ones, because I never got the promised Fuse Box - and makes sales after sales for the Wusikstation. But at least he has a great product to offer, so mercy is given... )

BTW, what I really love is the EVE synth. It can make great sounds, and it's more than sad that it seems to be discontinued - because IMO it had an interesting concept behind.

I use the Eve more than wuzik 7 sometimes, especially for the mellotron banks and famous keys sounds, some very good presets but you have to find the ones you really want.

I'm looking for bread and butter sounds. A lot of sounds doesn't mean squat to me if they are not explicitly useful to me. I'm looking for "famous sounds" Something that won't take me hours to set up and can give me a fairly good recreation of tones I'm already familiar with.

Titan boasts 200 synths in one but when I hear the demo sounds they all sound like stuff I'd never use.

I don't know what "famous sounds" are. You can get famous with every good sound...

For $20 you get a lot of useful bread and butter sounds and many more "extraordinary" sounds. I wouldn't pay $300 for the sounds of the Wusikstation, but for $20 it's absolutely worth the money.

I didn't get the 20 deal the only thing I see listed under purchase applicable to me is V7 at 79 dollars.

I don't want to spend endless hours trying to recreate sounds. I want bread and butter sounds so when I play a cover it sounds like the real deal.

Check out PRIZM - it is a Wusik-based workstation with a 16GB library and most of it is bread and butter sounds.

If you want to have recreations of sounds in "famous" songs, there are some good soundsets for Synthmaster. I don't know if there is any soundset of "famous" songs for the Wusikstation, but there are loads of instrument imitations...

i bought it during the recent sale as well. had never heard of it before that (not that i recall), grabbed it mainly due to the wave-sequencing (and vector?) functionality. i was thinking about buying the Korg WaveStation softsynth (had a WS-SR years ago), but really liked that you could load your own samples into Wusik. it can serve as a decent ROMpler as well, should i need it for that.

not sure how often i'll end up using it (haven't even fired it up since first testing it out after buying), but i couldn't pass up the deal. either way, it was a great value for the cost.
