Can I make a slight derail... I'm interested to how essential the manual is and whether the Groove3 tutorials will suffice.
I just paid for a competitive upgrade version via Credit Card over the phone to MOTU and received an iLok code for it an XtremeFX. I didn't realise there was no pdf manual and that I would have to pay an additional shipping charge to receive it.
I'm already fiddling without RTFM so i'm not even sure it is necessary.

I ordered the Groove3 monthly plan so I could watch the Mach Five tut and a couple others, but I haven't had a chance to watch it yet.
As a pretty recent owner of Mach Five, I have to say that the manual is both essential and inadequate. There are several things I probably wouldn't have figured out without the manual (particularly with the layers and editing views)- but it's still been a bit of a slog, and the manual contains virtually nothing about the scripting. I hope the tutorial proves to be a good supplement, because there really isn't much useful information about Mach Five out there otherwise.
