It's the me only thread Crying or Very sad

I ordered the IBBY. I have way too many guitars, but I got a good price on it and it's just so sexy with that wood grained look (and I wanted another hardtail)

Will be here next week, I'll do picks! I can look at them myself HiHi

I'm confused (but you're a left-coaster and you guys are Nutter ) are they including some cool picks with the guitar? I use picks to play my guitar, not to look at...you may want to give that a try.

Oh wait, I get it, the picks are so cool you dont want to ruin them so you're going to just look at them...why dont you just take some pics of the picks? I might want to see the pick pics too if they are that cool so if you take pics of the picks make sure you post the pick pics...and while you're at it you might as well take some pics of the guitar too Thumbs Up!

btw what kind of pic ups does the guitar have?

Nice "pick up" Hink HiHi

Anyhow, It's going to get some gnarly dimarzios IF it passes the hib test. The ones that are in it are some stock shit pups that I'm pretty sure I wont like. I've actually got some replacement pups that will take me 20 mins to put in. Those would be a FRED in the neck and a BREED in the bridge. (there's a joke in their someplace, I just know it)

I'm REALLY curious about it. It's too cheap to be true me thinks. It has the TE bridge (I like those) it has the premium label (I like labels) and the neck on the premium I have is very playable. I don't know why though that the price is so low. God, I just love that color though Love

Very curious, but kinda worried it's going to just be a "cheap" guitar.

hIBBY

Its simple for me: the damned e-Con-Enemy which is preveting me picking up alot of things I actually need let alone want. I am easily a £100 a week worse off than I was upto and around last novemember and mate it has taken
its toll. I have a list of guitars which I would really like/buy if I could plus pickups and new necks to make over some I have already Smile

#1: Blackjack SLS C-1 EX Baritone:
http://www.schecterguitars.com/products/guitar/Blackjack-SLS -C-1-EX-Baritone.aspx (Will go for the Duncan blackouts active option, It'll destroy with br00tality)
#2: Blackjack SLS C-1 FR-S:
http://www.schecterguitars.com/Products/Guitar/Blackjack-SLS -C-1-FR-S.aspx (Will dump the Full Shred at the bridge for an Alternative 8 or perhaps a Bare Knuckle humbucker. The sustainer and the neck profile make it perfect for me/my preferences)
#3: http://www.charvel.com/en-GB/guitars//search.php?partno=2931 311596 (Switch the 85 from the neck to the bridge, I really want a white guitar)
#4: Custom baritone neck for one of a pair of Black Jackson Dinky guitars that is still in stock condition. It will be 29" long maple with a maple board. The other one has my beloved Bare Knuckle Warpig humbuckers in it and despite what the information says it was used for this youtube video demo, Its the bridge position: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2VR8MJMmyi0&fmt=18
It was the Jackson, Bridge Warpig humbucker, Line 6 Uber Metal, Tonesucker Mk I DIY pre and power amp into 2x12" fitted with Celestion G12 K-100 br00tal speakers (with a 58 on the cab, into m-audio projectmix I/O into Sonar with minimal processing). So really looking forward to turning its twin into an even heavier sounding beast
#5: A pair of Uncle Seymour's Blackout EMTY bridge position humbuckers
#6: A couple of as yet undecided Bare Knuckle humbuckers
#7: A quality acoustic guitar with fishman aura system on-board but that is not an essential...Its just has to sound good and play really, really well first
#8: A 5-string bass and last but not least
#9: A different flavour of 4-string bass to go with what I already have available

There are amps, cabs, pedals, mics and so on and so forth though that are priority also and I can only spread what little cash I now have available after life/the kid's are taken care of. A general maintanence issue usually arises just as I am close to having enough to drop the hammer on something which is always frustrating and I do not do credit cards/bank overdrafts...etc. as I prefer to know what is mine to spend. I will do monthly finance deals/buys sometimes aslong as they are 0% APR over however many months Smile

That is a really lovely looking Ibanez, What Hink asked electronics wise and woods used where if you would my friend Very Happy

All the best to all as always Thumbs Up!

bummed! I've been saving myself. I'm not buying anywhere near as much as I was, so it took a while to have some playing money. I'm also pretty good with my no-interest cards like MF where I can make payments instead of one chunk (as long as it's withing a specified time)

Also, I'm probably letting go of the 920QM I have. Someone will want that, which isn't too far under what I paid for this....if there is a pinch. So, it's not really like old hibidy just spending like crazy

Oh I know that you are not buying left, right and center Chris at all and I know that you also do sell gear not just buy Smile Still even if you were that is cool with me as it is your own money to do what you want with mate. Sorry if I came across as moaning about others having money to spend and being pissed off because I do not...That is the last way I would ever want to be like!!! Just a why I have gone pretty quiet of late here in this department Very Happy

Re the new model/price: I honestly would not worry about it being at a price which seems cheap/to good to be true almost even enter my mind/be of any concern aslong as it passes the acid test by sounding good and playing good. Look forward as I always shall do to hearing how you get on with it plus audio clips if warranted/you love it.

I certainly won't stop posting stuff I happen across which gets me abit excited/lustful over though even if it won't be my next or I will ever own it

Good old man Hug to you

Ah thanks John, Gave out a man hug whilst you were, Cheers and one in return Hug I know things will get better or even if they stay the same it will not stop me picking new stuff up. Just at a more Sabbath-like tempo oppose to say Slayer-ish tempos Laughing

A. It's gorgeous
B. It's an Ibanez
C. You have no self control Wink

Seriously, it's going to be sweet. Just upgrade the pickups and get a good fret job for it, you'll be happy. If you haven't tried a Norton on a basswood body yet, you're missing out.

As for being too cheap to be true, that's actually pretty expensive for an Indonesian guitar, despite how pretty it is.
