When I think of old school gaming my mind says "bleep", and viral outbreak doesn't fit that bill at all.

As a good all-round rompler (with synthesis possiblities for those who know how to find them) suitable for most kinds of music, it is very much recommended. Especially now as the final limited sale is on at only CAD49. :)

No, I don't think Viral Outbreak was specifically designed with that in mind.

It is based on the Access Virus synth, so out of the box it would be most suitable for trance music.

It's okay. I don't think there are very many left. Frankly, I've had more fun loading the sounds that come with it into Rapture and making my own patches...

One cool thing is it can load the OB Resurrection and VS Resurrection libraries. Personally, I have all these, as well as the Alchemy library, and don't find myself using them all that much. I might use them more if they were Kontakt libraries (such as the Fingerpushers "Infected" library, which I use quite a bit: http://www.fingerpushers.com/infected-- ... sizer.html).

are the Ressurrection libraries good?

wow the fingerpusher seems to be simple and great soundin? how many presets are there included and is it hard to uinderstand when you are not big in synthesis?

i listened to the demo song there with many presets, love the sound exactly what i need atm for prog house!

Yes, they're good.

There aren't a lot of presets - only 56 - but they're easy to edit and cover a good range of sounds. Between that, Nexus, and the Sasha Sound Lab library, I don't really miss my TI when I'm away from my studio.

If you want another format, get Viral Outbreak. :)

Viral Outbreak is being discontinued, so I would grab it soon. It comes with 5 other soundsets (OB/VS Resurrection, Ambient Drums, etc.) for a total of $49. :)

p.s. It looks as if the soundsets that come with it are being discontinued as well.

I think the Viral Outbreak sounds are very good. I have used them in several of my pieces. I would suggest upgrading the engine to the latest Wusik Station version. That will give you more ways to work with the sounds. I agree with the previous poster who suggested pulling the sounds into other instruments like Rapture. That will dramatically increase the number of sonic possibilities.

Also, the Dev, Jeremy Janzen, is very easy to work with. I have had a few questions and he has been very prompt in responding.

Given that you get all the sounds right now for $49, I don't see how you can go too far wrong.
This space has been unintentionally left blank.
