So many discussions about synths going on !!

What about IL Harmor!! It's off the radar... WTF happened???
Perhaps it is the drab burgandy GUI that isn't doing it ?? ; They should offer a bright orange GUI Too !!!

I'm definitely interested in doing a set for it. Not sure when, though. It IS a pretty fun synth. My only issue with such a project is that I'd rather do it directly for Image-Line rather than under my own brand.

im still waiting for someone to do some decent tutorials on how to use it. Its a scary, bewildering thing and i'd like some guidance on how to make some certain 'bread and butter' sounds with it.
It could easy be the one 'go-to' synth but at the moment i'd just go with others as they are easier for me to get my head around.

its a heck of a powerful synth though! :)

I'm not a sound designer, but I use it for about 90% of my sounds. I have all the big-name VSTis you can think of, but I keep going back to Harmor.

It's so easy to drag in wave cycles and use it a bit like massive. Or you can resynthesise samples in there and use it like Alchemy. Or you can simply synthesise standard subtractive sounds.

It has some quirks that people might not like. For instance, not being able to send both parts through one filter. You have to link parts A & B and set the filters the same instead.

Also, modulation is probably weird and not very intuitive if you don't use FL.

It's not off the radar to me. Most of the FL guys are using it for all their sounds too.

The burgundy GUI is sexy

...if it hadn't been for that great sound and presets I wouldn't have tried 15min to find out how to change an "oscillator" - worst interface layout ever!!! An also and excellent mixture of cluttered and wasted space :x (as with a lot of Fl stuff)

...anyway - now that I got it I will dive deeper into the demo and wonder if I'll like it more than Razor...

Maybe there are too much options on the GUI and this makes it not very easy to understand. I need some time to find a bit the idea behind this interface and also of the usage with the envelopes/states and stuff.

I made a track with Harmor (only Harmor except drums) and programmed also some smaller patches like bass and stuff for this track http://4damind.com/fs/1o
But it was not the easiest thing compared to other synth so I would not going to make sound design or stuff. I'm not sure about using this synth very often in the future.

I would get Harmor if there was a mac version...

Both are great soundsets. I think I like the Arksun set better overall for my needs, but what I'm really digging about NeuroVision is how it really puts the spectral module to work. There are some seemingly 'basic' sounds that are highly variable through the XYZ pad and MSEG modulation, and you can save the images to use on other sounds.

I agree Harmor needs some tutorials along the lines of the Zebra or Alchemy tutorials. anothergol has a few (newer, too) tutorials up on his youtube channel, but he makes it look so easy I sometimes have to go back and click through frame by frame in HD to see what's going on.

I love the interface. It's pretty and you can really see all your settings at a glance. But htat's from someone who never really knows what he wants or what he's doing.

I too was disappointed to see it was windows only. Though I don't know that much about it. No need to research Windows only in my world.
waves break, but somehow it all makes sense.

My case. Would probably buy it if there was.
