Hey everyone!
We're back with something new! And best of all, it's free!
Introducing The Pickup Series. A 100% completely free sample series from Bad Cat Media Group.
This is an exploratory series where every sample is recorded through high quality preamps but instead of using a microphone we use an excellent hum-bucker guitar pickup. The result is a crisp and clean sample with an incredibly low noise floor recorded at 24bits and 48khz. Combine that with some experimental scripting in Kontakt to create some slightly off quilter possibilities and you have an interesting tool for the mad scientist music producer/composer.
Volume #1 in The Pickup Series is The Mini Keys. A tiny toy keyboard with a very distinct 8-bit sound. After sampling this keyboard via our humbucker, we programmed a basic patch for a convincing retro game sound. The true fun came when we developed the Kontakt script which makes this instrument anything but mini.
Here is an excerpt from our favourite DJ, YDID, (pronounced wide eyed) which features the mini keys on leads.

Interested? Check out this link for a detailed video of what The Mini Keys can do.
All you have to do is come down to www.badcatmediagroup.com/store and sign up for a free download. While you're there check out what else we have going on! There is plenty more in development.
All the best from all of us at BadCat Media Group.

Hey everyone,
Just wanted to thank all our current customers and everyone who has expressed interest in The Music Box update and The Mini Keys. In fact, there has been so much interest that we are actually overloading our current server, so we are planning on moving our site to a new one that can support a much bigger volume.
Some of you have been experiencing issues so we are currently doing everything in our power to get up and running quickly and better than ever.
We will be taking a day or two to re-platform our site to the new server.
We apologize in advance for the wait and we will keep you fully informed about these changes by email and on forums.
Thanks so much for your patience!
All the best! From all of us @ Bad Cat Media Group
