Hi dear KVR members again.

I have a questions . First time i'll do it even i'm not Newbie on Cubase

1) When i freeze midi track on Cubase , Quality will be same or lower?
2) When i freeze midi track on Cubase , it really helps for CPU or Ram?

thanks

the midi should reduce usage because the VSTI would not need to be processed by the DAW after render

I just checked in REAPER and the freezed wav file seems to be 32 bit float (most probably can be changed in project settings).
So in this host the answer to question 1 is: literally yes, practically no.

you know it really depends I know in reaper the quality is basically the same because I do everything in 48 32 bit. but if your recordings came in at a higher rate and the plugin has a lower one than the quality will be degrated but if not than it should be the same. some plugins have this problem not much anymore but I remember one did along long time ago where is would not work well in anything but 44.1 16 bit. but now adays I would say just go for it I have not noticed any noticeable loss

freeze means an invisible audio track is rendered. this will be at the project settings; ie., the same quality as anything you render by 'export audio'; there is no loss. it will save on resources, which is the whole point of it.

Well, maybe, in a corner case. If the track level is too hot.

Because (obviously) freezing a track to 24-bit that sounds fine in the song but who's gain is exceeding 24-bit 0 will introduce some clipping in the rendered 24-bit file, a quality loss. Freezing or bouncing at 32-bit float brings the 32-bit headroom there also, to the file.

So if your freezes / bounces are at 24-bit, in that particular (not typical) case where something is just too hot, yes.

true remember to gain stage while mixing so you do not clip that will cause problems
