I'm thinking of getting the Rack Extension version of this synth and would like some feedback from folks that use it. |

I don't have the rack extension. But the vsti is one of the great all rounders.
You can conjure most sounds out of it and there are loads of presets around for it. |

Love it! It's still very relevant and capable of a lot more than just the famed "Virus without the price tag" moniker. It can even produce knarly dubstep stuff if you're into that sort of thing (which I know most people here aren't per se, but just to illustrate it's flexibility... it was conceived YEARS before dubstep in it's current form was even dreamed up, but it's very capable of doing even that... ref below Shameless self promotion to follow http://soundcloud.com/georgez/eternitysound-rp-predator BTW, Rob said all the VST version's soundbanks should work in the RE version (they will be converting them). |

I really like the Rack Extension. I am debating on grabbing the vst or the RE. i think the vst looks better and might be easier to handle than the RE. |

+1 and what George said. I constantly reach for Predator because it has every sound you'll ever need and I'm convinced it could make (almost) any sound you can think of. |

I own it, I like it, do I use it? Nah, not anymore.
Soundwise it's a great synth which - as other ppl did mention it already - is very capable instrument that can conjure almost any sound you wish. It's of course better for hard sounds, for the soft stuff not so much. But all in all, great synth. Yet, after 3 years of using it almost constantly, I just got fed up with it :/ ---- If a little knowledge is dangerous, where is the man who has so much as to be out of danger? T.H. Huxley |

I've started using the demo RE more and I'm starting to quite like it. I think I might have to invest. |

I could swear I posted in this thread....
Anyways, I love mine, it has the sound in a soft synth that I've been looking all over for, and its my mainstay for so many different sounds...I could conceivably make an entire track with just Predator....and now that I thought about it, I just might. |

A proper mainstay synth, and always seem to get the votes in synth GUIs threads which I agree with. Great sound, range and low CPU usage too. Lots and lots of ace presets comes with it as well. |

I just used it in a track and let me tell you, it stands out and blends well even against two separate Omnisphere tracks. I love my Predator. |

Yes, it's a nice synth, that comes with more than 3000 included presets!
Unfortunately I find no use for it, as I already have a few other go-to-plugins. (If anyone is interested: my license is still for sale on kvr-Marketplace. No idea why no one seems to be interested in it. Rob Papen's support-staff is very quick and good, whenever you have any questions. In each case I personally would go for a VST-Version and not for the RE, too, as Rob Papen allows license-transfers for the case you don't need it, and Propellerheads does not. Vst is more flexible, in view of compatibility with other sequencers. Otherwise you would need Reason in each case. |

Bump due to sudden inspiration.....I just made the lead and bass sounds for the track I said I was going to make with just Predator, so hopefully work wont kill my drive too much (I work retail in the USA) and this track will be done before the end of the year. |
