I'm having trouble with reverberate on Mountain Lion. Switching presets doesn't seem to do anything, not does switching IRs and I can't hear any reverb no matter what I do. Used to work fine before I reinstalled everything. Anyone else having problems or am I doing something wrong?

In which host do you use it? Is Mountain Lion a clean install or an upgrade on an existing Lion installation?
Does the problem happens with the synthetic tails factory presets too, or only with the normal impulses?

On my mac mini it worked fine with Logic untill osx 10.8.1 (I have yet to try it after updating to 10.8.2; hopefully I'll do it out tomorrow or in the weekend). My ML is not a clean install (just for the stats).

Hi, if this is still giving you problems I'd like to hear more. This should be ok in mountain lion if you do a full install, it worked on my 10.8 without needing to do anything special. So a bit more info... Does this happen on new project files with a fresh copy of the plugin, or only on pre-existing song files? What host are you using so I can check locally to see if this is a general or specific problem to your system or chosen host, and are you using the VST, and what version number. I'll send a support request, thanks. Originally posted here because I figured I must be doing something wrong.

But I'm on Ableton Live 8, loading reverberate in saved racks, which, come to think of it, is the same as loading in a n existing project so I should check loading it fresh from the VST list.

Mountain Lion was a fresh install. I will test again tonight and send a support request.

Hi, it will be worth trying to set up some racks up from scratch to see if that helps after you establish if the problem is related to new/existing presets.

It's also worth looking into using a blank set of presets in a blank program and then set up some IRs manually in a few different presets and see if you can swap from preset to preset, or if it's totally ignoring your requests.

Also check if the AU and VST perform the same way in the most recent version, and try a few old the old versions linked online to see if this is a recent thing.

If you wouldn't mind checking if it works in another host for you it would be helpful too (the Reaper demo is a good place to start if you don't have any others).

ok. I loaded up the original VST and now it works fine. Presets load, IRs load. I can hear reverb again. Apparently it was only messed up in a saved effect rack (which is how I organize all my instruments and effects in Live.

I saved it as a rack again and when I close and open it, it still works fine. Don't know what that was about.
