why is cubase so incredibly awful with 32bit synthedit/se plugs. im not sure if its just me, but im been having really bad compatibility issues with cubase. is there a way to get 32 bit plugs to work better in cubase?
creativity wise, ive been more creative in cubase then any other daw, but some things about it are just annoying like the windows handling, preset handling, drag and drop, some things i realy like about it, but in other ways, reaper blows cubase out of the water in loading times, money for value, stability, compatibility, if i can get cubase to work with my 32 bit plugins that would be great.

Sorry, have to chime. Synthedit plugs are sexy very often, some of the devs are top notch and the plugs sound terrific.
But I've heard more complaints about synthedit plugs no running right than anything else in my years being here.
Jbridge is inexpensive enough, but even in a host with a really good bridge like reaper people complain about them.

Any reason you're not using 32-bit Cubase? I run 32-bit Cubase on 64-bit Win 7 and every single one of my plugins works great.
I encountered problems with at least 2 32-bit plus when I was using 64-bit Cubase, but the 32-bit Cubase works so well I never bothered with jbridge.
Legitimately curious.

Which SE plugins are not working for you? um ok, actually, i have 3 gigs of ram, but i just thought that you CANT run 32 bit cubase on 64 bit windows 7. i didnt think that was possible. ill definitely get the 32 bit version. anything else i need to know?

that your *compatibility issues* are issues owing to the plugins, or Cubase's bridge.
Like hibidy, I've noticed the high number of reports about SE plugs and troubles. Also the Cubase bridge.
I have zero stability issues with Cubase, note well. But I don't have dodgy plugs nor use any bridge in it.
With only 3GB RAM there is not a lot of call to use anything x64.
Also know that if you get up around 2GB of use, you're on the verge of stability issues owing to that. Albeit there was some thing about a '3GB switch' in windows but I don't use windows and couldn't speak to that.
One reason for slowness of loading: notice how long 'content' takes to load and note what you have in Mediabay to scan for.

dodgy plugins like synthedit/synthmaker? are these dodgy? am i still using 64bit cubase if i have windows 7 64 bit but use 32 bit version of cubase? likewise, am i still using a bridge using windows 7 64bit but 32 bit cubase?

Why would you think they look down? My comments were only based on YEARS of hearing about SE problems in a variety of hosts. Professionals are those who make money with their profession. If synthedit plugs help them make more money, they would love it! What I know is that the professional is concerned about the quality of the result and the money that comes from it
