Stylus is the only Spec. product I don't own. Why? It's the oldest and from what I can tell from videos, it's not as organized as the tagged browser as Omni and Trilian. And...it doesn't have a step sequencer or any graphical representation of the loop.
I wish Stylus 2 were released soon with vast improvements.
I almost want to buy Stylus now just in case they have any special upgrade period...but I said the same thing to myself almost a year ago and still no Stylus 2

I am a huge Spectrasonics fan and own all 3 of their products, but it sounds like you're looking for Geist--the product you want already exists, it's just not from Spectrasonics.

If you purchase the three Spectrasonics products new, not second hand, you qualify for a very reduced upgrade price for any new release from them.GMusic wrote:Stylus is the only Spec. product I don't own. We keep coming back to this thread don't we?
I agree RMX could use a better interface, allowing simple drag and drop editing of RMX snippets and easier way to switch individual sounds in and out. After looking at other interfaces (Geist is amazing), I have come to agree with others here such as Hibidy, that the currect interface is very clunky when it comes to altering the individual hits in the RMX loops.
Yeah, and the browser too, I agree with all you've said!
I am looking at Arturia's Spark drum machine, which RMX users might like to know, can do amazing things both outside of and inside of your DAW, controlling not only its own amazing software with tons of classic modeled, tweakable synth drums, but also all your percussion vsts with the best interface I've ever seen. It has a touch surface and dedicated knobs per sound, fantastic real-time roll and glitch capabilities and can import your own files - even use all your RMX files too! I have been a critic of their long-in-the-tooth emulations, but Spark is a really special product for those of use who like to improvise on a great machine where your two hands can stay in one place on 8 superior pads (without hands crossing over one another) and move from there only to tweak the dedicated knobs. Then all of it is right there inside the DAW.
You can pick one up for around $425 new, with all the amazing software, at jrrshop right now using the "killerkitty" code. I'm prolly gonna do this today...

I'd be thrilled if the browser would just "remember" and return to the last category/bank/preset loaded, so I could avoid having to click-click-click-click and oh, click, to get BACK to the group I WAS in, and want, when selecting from the same group for the next pad.
simple.
TBTH, I haven't even opened it for nearly a year, as this issue was so tiresome/tedious.
Nerve and more recently Geist, have spoiled me.
