Although I've had it for a bit now, I've only just gone through some of the presets. I find them a bit baffling, to be honest. The "subtle" folder holds presets that are anything but subtle, for example. I can understand why someone who just flicks through the presets will be disappointed. They don't do a very good job of showing off what Trash can do. Then again, using presets for an effect that's so heavily dependent on the source material and the overall mix intention seems kind of pointless to me anyway, but your calorie intake may vary. I like to see what others have come up with. But you're right distortion effects need to be tweaked to work with the incoming signal. Still there are so many ways to work with the various modules that there is much to be learned by studying the presets.. ---- waves break, but somehow it all makes sense. |

Here is an example on guitar how Trash 2 can sound both warmly tube distorted with some added space.
This is an example of the combination of custom Impulse response's and presets in "Righteous Rooms for Trash 2". Righteous Rooms guitar example |

Hey Guys I bought Trash 2 from the hype and I like it for certain things.
I was in the market of getting a distortion for electro house/ Complextro distorted bass. I was all set to get Ohmidicide and then Trash 2 came out. I have not been able to replicate Ohmicide's style of distortion on distorted electro house bass with Trash. Is this possible with Trash 2? If so what settings do you reccomend? Is anyone doing a Electro house distored bass with trash 2? |

Is this possible in Trash 2? I dont see why you couldn't do it. The edgy tricks to my mind are simpler then the cleaner ones. This is just a bit of distortion, it could be done many ways with many tools. |

Is this possible in Trash 2? Well here is an example for you: It includes about 11 instances of Trash 2 with all presets and Impulse Responses from VSP "Righteous Rooms" for Trash 2. We placed Trash 2 on all 5 Guitar parts, Bass, Synth bass, Cello, Viola, Dig/Voice and Percussion. The lead has a mixture of effects on it including Trash 2, The Trash 2 effects range from tight rooms to distorted spaces. https://soundcloud.com/vintage-synth-pads/vintagesynthpads-t rash-zebra Also included, Oxium with all presets from "Vintage Hardware" for Oxium. Diversion with presets from, "Depth of Field" for Diversion. Zebra, with presets from, "Zebras Dream in Color." The song was done entirely with synths/samplers. This is just a quick, ruff mix, hope to get the complete mix done later. |
