Really completely free?
Whoever wants music instead of noise, joy instead of pleasure, soul instead of gold, creative work instead of business, passion instead of foolery, finds no home in this trivial world of ours.

Well, it seems so, with no strings attached?!!

Do a YouTube search on MOOC (massive open online course)...

So, anyone else joining the new sound design course this Monday?
Although I'm doing it more out of curiosity there seems to be a certificate issued for this course.
Will I get a certificate for this course? Yes. Students who successfully complete the class will receive a certificate signed by the instructor.

Do you know if there any 'educational value' to the certificate? Does it count towards anything?
Don't get me wrong, I think any education offered for free is absolutely fantastic, regardless of any bits of paper you may get at the end (provided there is no catch of course ;) )

Well, not sure, never took a Coursera course before.
If you're asking what can you do with the certificate... well, not sure but you can include in CVs and or use it to credit self-employed business I guess.

Week 1 videos are already in, pretty cool and tidy look, good overall experience so far. :)
Videos are pausing as some point(s) to ask questions about the material.

Halfway though the videos, I've learned that white noise instantly calms babies!
