so as far as i understand i can make a small and portable field recording rig with this app...lets say scarlett 2i2 + samsung galaxy s3, and few mics...will it work? Depends on your definition of 'portable' and 'field': the 2i2 is USB bus powered and your S3 won't provide enough juice to power the 2i2 and some phantom powered mics. You wouldn need to put a powered USB hub in between which would make it less portable. Note that the 2i2 doesn't work for everybody, probably due to this power requirement, so you need to check with the free trial version to see if it works. Let me know how you get on. ---- Author of Audio Evolution for Android and Windows, USB Audio Recorder PRO, Stage Assistant and USB MIDI Monitor. eXtream Software Development Twitter: https://twitter.com/AudioEvolution5 Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/AudioEvolutionMobile |

thanks for this fabulous app .. and home-made usb driver ! do you plan to make a sound analyser app? like "speedy spectrum analyser" or "audio tool" .. and others real time analysers. no ones can use usb sound input . No plans for that, too busy! damage. you would have been the first to make a real signal analysis for android phones that have a bad mic.( most, apart samsung galaxy's and perhaps sony xperia ,mot.razr ? unfortunally, I can't find information about smartphone audio input bandwith .) an app. like REW ( for linux/windows) would be very useful to design speakers . only for dB measurement . I think phase measurement is hard to make .. Ready to spend 10$ for app . your usb driver is really fantastic. good luck |

thanks for clearing up that you willing be adding the USB input codec into AE in the future... I need a little more help please, with the USB recorder.
sadly the tablet I am running in a cheap kocaso m752 android tablet 4.0:4. I am using USB otg into a powered hub to an maudi o fast track. i have verified that the tablet does support host. the audio device is initialized on start of app, but will not record. my tablet recognizes fast track, and I have also powered it through the hub. I'm guessing my tablet is not supported, but I think I've met all the requirements. any ideas? |

Unfortunately, all Chinese tablets (or any Rockchip-based device) that I'm aware of do not work. They probably don't support isochronous USB transfers. ---- Author of Audio Evolution for Android and Windows, USB Audio Recorder PRO, Stage Assistant and USB MIDI Monitor. eXtream Software Development Twitter: https://twitter.com/AudioEvolution5 Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/AudioEvolutionMobile |

It's from China, so probably not, but I have no experience with it. ---- Author of Audio Evolution for Android and Windows, USB Audio Recorder PRO, Stage Assistant and USB MIDI Monitor. eXtream Software Development Twitter: https://twitter.com/AudioEvolution5 Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/AudioEvolutionMobile |
