Please IK: Add "P90" To Pickup Type in AmpliTube 3

Please add "P90" as a pickup type. You have 5 options for acoustic guitars and no P90.

What's a guy gotta do?

They are overwound single coils or 'hot'. Best thing to do if found stuck with any single coil housed in an awkward size is to replace immediately with one of these: http://www.jrrshop.com/guitar-bass/pick ... -90-pickup
I enforced this rule upon a very close friend whom has quite a few telecasters, One of which was packing (Plagued is more apt a description IMO) a pair of awful duncan P90s, It was ghastly that bridge position, Absolutely gash before but after he came around to my way of operating he swiftly ordered the P85. We dropped it in the bridge (left the neck position as it was, That was/is quite useable to be fair). I can report that ever since it became a real guitar that can be actually used plugged into anything without sounding like a dud shit heap as soon as even a moderate amount of gain is brought in

I have a pathological hatred for single coils in any other position than the neck and even then there is only a certain time and place for them

I encourage any and every poor soul to get together and form a group buy to rid yourselves from the pain in the bridge you're all suffering from with a painless and fully reversable switch (Should you want or need to keep its resale value intact).

P90 bridge posistioners: You will all thank me one day

Glad you understand I'm only kidding MickGael as I know all too well how one mans ideal is anothers no way regarding pickups and I also hope that your FR makes it into AT3 as you are right every other setup/pickup layout that is common is included plus P90s have had alot of a boost from around 3 years ago. Also I'd say with fender for one example making them a big part in thier ranges/catalogue that they will continue to stay popular

If you haven't had chance to try these ones then if you get a chance I think you might like them alot FWIW: Blue Note 90 soapbars by Bare Knuckle, Along with hearing the RWRP option whereby you get a hum canceling setup in the middle position and a sweeter soft sound on the neck which is a real nice option depending on one's wants/needs (the bridge keeps all its raw attitude, This is a very conservative/subtle demonstration of the variations it allows acutally):
and one with more balls of a hotter model at the bridge yet not sounding harsh, Its the best quality despite the cheese factor:

Oh and despite being plugged into a naff roland cube these ones are most excellent on an SG or similar:

Good one, Dean. I definitely enjoy my Rio Grande P90s in my one guitar, and I probably won't swap out the one in my 1959 LP Junior but it isn't pristine so I suppose I could consider it. Still not likely though

Mick, They are not often mentioned in the off the shelf publications and I do not know a great deal about any TV Jones pickups, However a really quite reliable resource is the ToneQuestReport for example/AFAIK:

Peter mate I hear you and yeah indeed if your setups are working plenty fine already then why change anything and possibly end up with inferior...Its never an easy call

Dean - it just means I need more guitars to put P90s into! Bareknuckle, Lollar, Fralin, TV Jones, I've looked at them all and they seem quite good each in their own right. *looks for Calgon take me away emoticon*
