Ubermod presets folder recover

I have upgraded to win8 and forget to save the Ubermod preset folder before doing it ( my self made presets are backed up in a general safety folder though).

Is there a way to recover it ?

On an additional note I must say that I would really like to have the chance to tell Ubermod where to point to get its presets instead of being forced to its default location.
For what I have seen, this option is not available.
All the vsts I use are pointing to a general preset folder in which each one has its specific folders.
I found this is an easy way to keep things backed up in an easy way.

Sean, please don't get angry for this, I respect and admire your will of keeping your plugins as clean as possible, but allow me to express my famous and easy 2 cents...

my best,
Luca

Just run the installer again. It will add the "factory" presets, without overwriting your user presets.

The preset folders in my plugins aren't really about keeping things clean, so much as having a preset location that can be used by both the VST plugins and the RTAS plugins.

You mean running the demo installer again ?
It is going to recognize my authorization then, right ?

So do you think it is possible that you will aloow the chance to decide where to place the preset folder one day ?

Post

ok, done.

you need to use your authorized installer.
If you install the demo, it goes over the authorized one and puts it in demo mode.
Presets show up in both ways.

thanks Sean,
Luca
