Well, let's remind ourselves that this is KVR, and we are talking about people talking about best softsynth than talking about what best softsynth is.

The list is rather interesting however. And I did place a vote for what I think deserves more recognition, because it doesn't hurt. It is a meaningless list, and I have to admit I have my "top 10 softsynth" in my head as well, but all this "official" nonsense does get on my nerves sometimes. :? And CM/FM, whatever you might think, does have a huge influence.

I just wanted to share the list for its own interest and so people can bash CM/FM yet again. :)

Or bash me, instead

Yeah, it would be good to see "team support" spirit rather than a flamewar :D Mature KVR.

The best softsynth was not in the list, so I gave my vote to a second best.

I really wish there was a best softsynth. I get tired of loading 4 or 5 different synths per piece I am writing.

Just to clarify, this list is entirely a MusicRadar thing. We've not had any involvement in it.

Whoever wants music instead of noise, joy instead of pleasure, soul instead of gold, creative work instead of business, passion instead of foolery, finds no home in this trivial world of ours.
