Ableton 9 Max 4 Live Crashes?

I just got Ableton 9 set up and was f**king around with max 4 live. It was working well at first but then I right clicked an object to open the help file. Once the patcher loaded I tried to use it but it didn't output any sound. Then after clicking on a few things it crashed. I've tried this with both 32 and 64 bit versions and also various different patcher files.
It appears that unless you are working on an ableton device max will not output any sound and crash repeatedly. Sucks for those of use who make heavy use of the help patchers...
Anyone else getting this?

Also, I should probably mention that when I was installing max 4 live it asked me to install PACE anti-theft software. I said no but it still installed.

Nevermind... I installed PACE and it still didn't work. This is terrible. How can they justify releasing software when the f**king help files don't even work?

I have the same problem with my install. I have been in contact with Ableton and Cycling about this problem. They admit that it is a bug and can reproduce it. They have it on the list of things to fix. Hopefully it gets fixed in the next update. I have no idea when that is but hopefully it is in the next one.coroknight wrote:Nevermind... When I contacted Cycling support last week they said nobody has reported this bug to them.
Hope this helps.
