Hi,
As a music hobbyist and a complete newbie, I enjoy making some noise using Mulab with my laptop (MS Vista 32 bits), a midi keyboard and a few VST.
Although I followed the provided installation steps I couldn't manage to get the MUX preset packs, available at the bottom of the download page, working. Is there a compatibility issue with Mulab 5 ?
And I miss particularly the Choir Vowel Ensemble Pack which was a great addition to Mulab 4.
Any help would be very much appreciated.

I just checked the "Choir Vowel Ensemble Pack" and it's working as expected here in M5.0.41. What problem do you encounter?

Thanks for this quick reply, mutools wrote:I just checked the "Choir Vowel Ensemble Pack" and it's working as expected here in M5.0.41. What problem do you encounter?
The unzipped "Choir Vowel Ensemble Pack" folder is under:
Mulab5\User\Library\Mux
and I can see it, with its 5 subfolders, in the toolbox panel on the right side of the MULAB display but when trying to drag/drop it to an empty rack slot I get this message: "Couldn't recognize VST plugin !"
When trying to access it by clicking the empty rack slot, the filedialog box doesn't show the User\Instruments path but only
- Mutools\Factory\Instruments
- VST\Instruments
By the way, I run into the same trouble with all the other preset packs.

Maybe you're dropping a MUX preset folder on the rack slot instead of a MUX preset file?raymond69 wrote:The unzipped "Choir Vowel Ensemble Pack" folder is under:

That's strange. I can't repeat that. You could try Browser -> Options -> Refresh and choose 'Yes' on "Also refresh MUX preset cache data". Does that make a difference? When trying to access it by clicking the empty rack slot, the filedialog box doesn't show the User\Instruments path but only

The refresh MUX preset was no success.Maybe you're dropping a MUX preset folder on the rack slot instead of a MUX preset file?

I can't remember what I did wrong, possibly a copy of the User\Library\MUX folder from my previous M4 installation or some other silly thing.
After a fresh installation of M5.0.41 and also of the MUX preset packs the missing preset files are now present and work well. The problem is solved.
Thank you, mutools and pljones, for your kind support and sorry for my ignorance.
