- 2656 posts since 18 Mar, 2011 from Spain
Time to vote for your top 5 tracks. All tracks are here.
RULES:
- Give 5 points to the track you think is best, 4 for second, then 3, 2 and 1.
- Voting is open to anyone.
- Last day for voting is 15th April (KVR time).
- If you have entered in the competition, you must vote to be eligible for prizes.
- No voting for yourself.
- Voters must have had 30 prior forum posts before start of the voting period, or participated in this month's contest.
- In the case of equal scores after voting, entries will be separated by how many 5 pts they got, then 4 pts and so on.
HOW TO VOTE:
You should allocate your votes, in a single post, in this thread ... something like this:
5 pts: Artist zxy - Track zxy
4 pts: Artist xqy - Track xqy
3 pts: Artist zyx - Track zyx
2 pts: Artist zqx - Track zqx
1 pt: Artist qzx - Track qzx
NOTE:
Reviews, however brief, are always welcome. Even if you can only find the time to add a short comment, then please do! ...it keeps the thread alive and encourages others to listen/vote.
Well, this is the thread to vote for Tal-Uno submissions. Due i don't have too much free time, i couldn't zip all tracks in one compressed file, but at least i wanted to open the voting thread for everyone.
Sorry for any inconvenience.

Cant wait to sit down and listen, but not this week. Moving my wife and daughter to my grandmother's house in Iowa to escape the Houston pollution.

5pts: Jasinski - Rain of Tears
Outstanding. 'nuff said.
4pts: Eauson - taluno62
Coolest groove of the month. Das Funky.
3pts: Jasinski - Squirel Assassins
Yeah, yeah, you got chops ok?
2pts: Bjporter - U-no The Answer
This really felt like a composition, not just "a track".
1pt : Ricler - Little Rascals
I'm a big Plaid fan and this took me there, but went in a more composed direction.
Others:
evo2slo
love the reverb drenched lead.
Bumtu
very cool piece.
Irion Da Ronin
the lead @3:19 reminds me of Chick Corea's electric band stuff. cool tune.

Hi
This was tough! It sounds like typical award ceremony cheese "I wish I could have voted for everybody...", you know the type. plastic smile and permo-tan, but the truth isn't too far off that (I meant the voting bit! not the plastic smile/permo-tan). Even those that i did award points to the order was difficult, and on a different day and mood could likey have been different.
5pt: Jasinski - Squirrel Assassins
The atmosphere at the beginning and break were good, but what sold me was that drop and change french house style (thats the only way I can think to describe it) main section, great energy. Always a sucker for that.
4pt: Bjporter - U-NO The Answer
A very complete track in terms of composition, sound design and mix. Hard not to like.
3pt: Bumtu - Muted Repose
That bass is amazing, love the way the track didn't conform to any typical Juno'esque directions. Bold track.
2pt: Photonic - Fragile
Complete, nicely put together. Certain parts evoke that same "odd beauty" which i get from the twin peeks theme.
1pt: Irion Da Ronin - Digital Daydream
A wide pallete of sounds, from elegant musical sounds to cracks and blips (always a fave of mine). Strong emotional identity and drive throughout.

Well, I had a track mostly ready this month, too, then I got detained for some days and couldn't submit it... oh well. You guys did an awesome job, though.
5pt: Jasinski- Squirrel Assassins
Uhh... no question about this one to me. Captivating, innovative, classic Jasinski strewn about for good measure. After a few listens, I realized that it *could* have been a bit more dubstep in a couple parts, just barely, though. Great track! And dammit, I wish I could be this creative.
4pt: Bumtu - Muted Repose
Great sound design, as usual. Unique, enthralling; enjoyed it a lot! Glitchy melodies, chords, percussion make this.
3pt: Irion Da Ronin - Digital Daydream
The solo on this one got me hooked; maybe not one of your best tracks ever, but still loved it. And the drums, I don't know what you do, but always something Ironian about them, unique and awesome.
2pt: Photonic - Fragile
This was a 50/50 song for me - half of the parts were perfect and half of the parts were a bit too 80's for my taste; great sound design, though, and as usual frikkin' amazing composition...
1pt: Kimik - One Synth Challenge 50
Nice synthy track, good melodies and such popped this one in the list.
Should've got points:
bh9090 - OSCTALUno62_2
Another slew of tracks from you; a couple I liked a lot... I think the thing that kept this out of the top was a technicality where it sounded a bit less produced than some of the others; musically wonderful, though. I'd suggest really focus on one or two, get great mixes, some more 'electronic' aspects and you'd have a win!
evo2slo - Daughters of Saturn
Every month, your tracks seem like they could end up in the 5pt spot for me, not sure what keeps them... only thing is the overall mix seems a bit off (I've had that problem for years, myself...). I'd encourage you to A/B with another track that you really love the mix of. Maybe my ears are just tuned for electronic instead of rock these days... excellent composition, though... couldn't ask for anything better, really.
RuediRena - Desert Tracks (Haxep 1.3)
If it were uniqueness alone, this would be 5pt... the dissonance is awesome, ambient and not. You guys got a winning combination with this sound, keep it up and one will hit a home run!

This time it was realy hard for me to choose just 5 tracks for the top rankings. For the first time, I will not only name my favorits, I will also mention those who where very close to the points
5 points: Yeager - The Missing Hour (Part 1)
What a wonderfull groovy synthie pop song. It took me from the first time I heared it. So many good sounds and I like they way of playing very much. For me a perfect feel-good song!
4 points: Irion Da Ronin - Digital Daydream
I always admire your skills in sound design. The composition itself if very good too. But what you made with this more or less simple synth - amazing!
3 points: Bjporter - U-NO The Answer
I only say: Bass-sequence, orchester stabs, groove and overall drums sounds. Excellent job!
2 points: Jasinski - Squirrel Assassins
I do not have a glue have you make those massive FX. This time not only technique is excellent, I also like the musicality of this track.
1 point: Nahkaorava - They All Lie
The second synthie pop song with catchy melodies.
Sorry, no more points left. You where so close to my top tracks:
Skyzone, Alvfaria, Broad Halls of Yeast and Thrax!
cheers,
Photonic

Hey everybody,
i can only repeat what has been said already: so many good songs, it was very difficult to choose the top 5.
Here are my points:
5pt: Jasinski - Squirrel Assassins
I'm stunned by your sounds and composition. It's amazing what you can get out of one little free synth.
4pt: evo2slo - Daughters of Saturn
The moment i hear the soothing melodies i feel like floating in a dream. I especially like the contrast within the song and the sounds changing between harsh and very smooth. Awesome song.
3pt: BUMTU - Muted Repose
I just love this progressive-minimal-electro style. Very innovative and still nice to listen to.
2pt: Irion Da Ronin - Digital Daydream
This is just a beautiful chillout song, very relaxing and with awesome sound design.
1pt: Broad Halls of Yeast: Cold Comfort
The song is so versatile with so many different parts in it that i really like. The orchester sound is great, so are the pads and the arrangement itself.
Honorable mentions:
Bjporter - U-NO The Answer (Awesome song!)
bh9090 - OSCTALUn062_5 (My favorite of your entries.)
Thrax - MorTALity (Cool style.)
