Komplete 6

Hello fellow receptor users. I bought a Komplete 6 upgrade quite some time ago after getting my Receptor 2 with Komplete 5 installed. I realize that I am way out of the times, as I can't event purchase an 8 upgrade at this point, and it looks like 9 will never be a possibility for receptor 2! Will the komplete 8 installer work for komplete 6? Anyone have any experience trying to install 6? Or have any ideas of where to purchase an upgrade to 8?
