Layer 2 no sound Synthmaster 2.6

Hi. I have just purchased SynthMaster last night after using Sylenth for a few years. It looks like it could be awesome from how some of the presets sound but I like to create my own patches. But I can't get any sound from layer 2. If I turn off the oscillators in layer one, highlight layer two and turn on any of the two oscillators, there is no sound. The volume is up and the filter is off and I can't see how from a new patch why it won't work. I load up a number of the patches which use both layers and more than two oscillators and a couple do have very quiet sub sounds coming from layer 2 but the majority have nothing.

Should I get a refund and continue with Sylenth? The synth never did me any harm, I just fancied getting my teeth into something else but if it's buggy then I would rather not.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Near the master output on the bottom right, there is a control that silences layer 1 and/or 2. I think it is on by default. Above it, there are controls for the levels of the volume for the layers.

There is a bypass button!!

Thanks got your help. I must have spent an hour trying to figure it out and reinstalling!
