Thank f**k someone got some taste around here.
I just came off the bbc site with Queens of the stone age and Gillan. Whatever.
I only saw Gillan three times, with big John McCoy on Bass.

what a f**king joke.
Who the f**k do these people think they are?
No mention of Ritchie Blackmore (sic)..
f**king Whores. Gillan was bloated as f**k, so was Ian Paice. If that is what rock n roll does to you, you can have your money back. And they want me to pay for their Gin Obsession?
Something has gone very wrong somewhere.
As for Crosby or Stills or Nash. At least they could hold a tune.
f**k, you know what? I don't care anymore.
Deep Purple was great, but never at this level.
Ritchie Blackmore (sic)?
f**king Jools Holland - patronising c**t. I would have twatted him if he talked to me like that. f**king Jean-Jacques Burnel he wants to interview.
Whatever happened to the music?

I wasn't contesting your claim - I haven't tried matching the fingerings he is using in the vid with the chord sounds etc. I was commenting on the tuning that two articles I read claimed were associated with that song - which sounded strange to me.bluedad wrote:because it's not 5 E's, it DADDAD, an incredibly gorgeous wide-open tuning.egbert wrote:OK - does he switch guitars somewhere there? I noticed a spot where he just strums on open strings and the sound was obviously not from standard tuning. The 5 E's thing sounds a pretty odd idea to me.
