Thank you for the encouragement :) I'm still trying to process all the information I now have, jotting down the things I have to do in a precise order (such as creating a page within my website for each kind of soundtrack (films, videogames, documentaries etc) I'm offering for, and the creation of a single track made of snippets from my catalog that would fit any given type of project, for example).

I'm positive, as opposed to desperate, also thanks to all you guys here, and for someone in my situation that is a huge plus in itself ;-)

Is that why we haven't had a new album for a couple of months?
I keep checking http://macofbionight.bandcamp.com/ ... or did I miss something?

Wow, thank you for the attention, I'm flattered

Actually, I only upload few albums to bandcamp, it's pretty time consuming, but I guess I should upload more there... I probably will.

True, I think the last one I made available is from almost two months ago, it's this one http://www.macvibes.com/CDENDOFANERAE.html
It's not very sharply focused, as it is exactly what it is about, the end of an era in my life I knew was coming, but I didn't know what was going to happen. Hence its not being to focused, but a few people like it... so I don't know, maybe it's good, maybe not, it's still part of my personal diary anyway and that's why it's out there ;-)

Anyway, I've got four new ones ready, three of which are about my current situation and the related events and will be on bandcamp first. They'll be downloadable for free after a couple of months from my website, like all the others.

The fourth one has been in the making for years, it's inspired by teh works of a painter who lives near here whose works (especially the "cosmic" series) I like very much. This is his website http://www.sandrobardelli.it/home.htm
and these are some of his "space" works (like all paintings, they're one thousand times better in real life):

Yeah ... a difficult listen. Especially after the exquisite 'Still Frames' http://www.macvibes.com/CDSTILLFRAMESE.htm (end of a different kind of era, I guess) and 'Futurebound' http://www.macvibes.com/CDFUTUREBOUNDE.html ('Fon, fon, fon ...' as they say). But, knowing what you were going through, it makes perfect sense.

I'll give the new one (http://macofbionight.bandcamp.com/album/secluded) a listen as soon as I get a bit of 'me' time.
Have you considered embedding the BC player on your site, so visitors won't miss it - and those who don't want to pay can at least listen to it streamed until you set it free?

But ...
... back on topic.

Just got around to listening to some of your 'Space Adventures' http://www.macvibes.com/spaceadventures/MUSICE.html albums. My immediate and overwhelming reaction was -

Why has no-one ever APPROACHED you to do a movie score?!?!!

I know that a lot of KVR members are 'industry insiders', even if they don't like to shout about it.
And we all know what Mac is capable of.
So - can't someone make the necessary 'introductions'?
(Go on - you know you want to!)

Glad you're back on your feet enough to at least be sending out Newsletters again. Let's keep it that way, eh?

Syntilla, thank you so much for the encouragement and the kind words :)

Nice idea :) I modified it a little and added the cover/link to my "music page" (the catalog, basically) along with all the other albums, clicking on it takes to the bandcamp page - it should work fine, thanks! :)

And maybe a page for your YouTube videos - for those of us who didn't realise you had any? (Only takes a bit of cut'n'pasting - and won't eat into your bandwidth.)

Cool idea (except for the fact that my videos suck big time), I will add it to the site. I have to add some pages anyway, so I might as well work that one in, too - thank you! :)

Bought it halfway through the first track. Just beautiful - thank you.

New Star Wars movie being shot in the UK. Have they been in touch about the soundtrack yet?

Post

Thank you, Sir, very kind of you :)

Post

Oh, as to Star Wars... I guess they tried to call me, but my answering machine was disconnected. They'll be luckier next time ;-P
