This post has no point, just some thoughts.
Holiday weekend here in Canada. Just feeding my GAS and demoing plugins:love: . Semi modular is all of a sudden very interesting. Maybe I'm bored of typical VA's finally.

First off, all three start with A. Purely coincidental.
Second, they all have great GUI's. Big, easy to read. Aalto I could stare at all night.

All very complementary and easy to make some early Chemical Brothers beats. :D

Xils 3 looks good too. Too bad the copy protection sucks.

I'm going to check out Kamioooka next.

Too bad DCAM Synth Squad is only 32 bit AFAIK

Post

I haven't used ABL, but Aalto and ACE are definitely quick routes to some Chemical Brothers style sounds.

I've seen it mentioned that DCAM has a 64 beta out (but I've never downloaded or verified for myself, as I rarely touch DCAM).

Post

DCAM Synth Squad is definitely 64bit on my PC here...

Post

For semi modular and GUI, I would add FabFilter Twin 2
ABEFLGMOPPRRST :phones:

I guess the demo wasn't 64 bit.

Kamioooka looks promising. Nice freebie and 64 bit. I dunno, I'm bored. My roommate is getting drunk off his ass upstairs and wants me to join (it's not even 2 pm yet).

Feel free to post cat pics!!!!

Arghh! I demoed this years ago when I knew nothing about synthesis. Now I can never try again (30 day demo I believe).

It happened to me too :hihi:
But after watching one of Dan Worrall tutorials...... I just bought it (with Timeless and Volcano) and I'm extremely pleased.
It melts in any mix. Litterally

Really? Fabfilter used to say that the demo was limited to each version number. You might simply have to download the latest and then try again.

This page offers fully functional 30-day trial versions of all plug-ins. When the demo version expires, you can simply unlock it with a personal license key, available for purchase in our online shop.

But have you tried it?

I'm asking because I had a similar problem years ago, when I first bought Volcano (version 1, not 2). My demo had expired and when I asked them to extend it so I could try again, that was their response... download the newest version (since an update had come out recently) and sure enough that worked (followed by a quick purchase).

Again that was years ago and I don't know if your version that expired is already the latest update, but just in case.... IF you are curious, it might work.

Dan Worrall sounds familiar. Did he do a Xils 3 video?

hmmm, new version new demo. I'm heading over there now.

thanks. :)

FabFilter twin2 nope. I must have demoed it and erased it when I was drunk sometime in the past 5 months. I got the Timeless demo though.

Xils 3 LE has only serial number protection :)

And with the current deal at JRRshop it's tempting.

Do you have it and find it useful?
