These are $69 each now or $119 for both.

Any opinions on quality/usability? I guess they're a bit dated now.

Their Yamaha bass sounds very nice and they give you a free demo to try with the same tone.

Thanks, I'll try it.

I think Direct Bass 2 is a very good bass. The problem is that there isn't all the Kontakt scripting that you might be used to with clever interfaces and all. It's programmed very well though, so I still enjoy it.

I think Direct Bass 2 is to this day one of the best out-of-the-box bass TONES that I have used. It's easy to play as well. It's only outdated if you're looking for the Kontakt interface stuff.

Thanks Brent. The price is right and it comes with 80 bass midi files which I'm curious about, plus 7 tutorial vids. Andre and the vids on his site are also helpful. I wonder if he is going to be putting some new stuff out or updating existing products.

I believe he has a new power chord library that was just released, or released soon, along with version 2 of his acoustic guitar.

I may be remembering incorrectly, but I think I saw some posts about it from him last week.
