Great, glad you liked 'em.seismic1 wrote:I liked both of them. The SynthMaster sounds on the second track were great. I need to make more use of mine.
Maybe I need to dig out some old sci-fi B movie audio...seismic1 wrote:I think I preferred "Undercurrent". It reminded me of '90s Eat Static.
Thanks for the comments.

I also like the first one, in particular, I like how the beat slides in smoothly without sounding forced. I'm not a fan of the deep kick, it sounds a bit tubby on my monitors like it's taking a bit too much space. It blends a bit better later but I can't help but think that it could use some narrowing as the track comes into swing.

Thanks. I'll look at it. That kick doesn't vary much in the track - there is a very light one that leads into it but I don't mess with that one much.ghettosynth wrote:I also like the first one, in particular, I like how the beat slides in smoothly without sounding forced. Yeah, no, I get that. I meant that as the track fills in that the really bassy kick might be competing with something, or just starts to get fatiguing. When you hear the deep bass in the outro it sounds good. The light intro kick sounds great. I appreciate techno that aims for a more subtle percussion sound, it doesn't all have to be in your face 909.Gamma-UT wrote:Thanks. I'll look at it. I also liked the trance track. I'm not really a fan of most trance since the early to mid 90s, but I like stuff that is reminiscent of classic trance.

I phrased my reply badly - I know what you mean. It's a very good point.ghettosynth wrote:Yeah, no, I get that.
