I meant pre-existing drum track MIDI pattern. say you have a reggae drum beat. then apply the groove from a thrash metal song to the reggae drum pattern. sort of how zappa used to do it.LawrenceF wrote:You can.

You can apply a groove from anything to any other thing on the timeline. It's just a quantize value setting like 1/16 or any other quantize setting. If the groove is the current quantize setting anything you quantize gets the groove.
Anyway... just maybe use it a little and you'll see that it already does everything you seem to want it to do.
