That won't solve your 'problem'..

you have to delete either the vst2 or vst3 versions......you can decide....if Cubase is your only host you can get rid of the vst2 versions if you want. they are in the folder /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST/U-he

if you choose to get rid of the VST3 versions (the ///), they are in
/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST3 folder

a general one, which is in the Library folder, in the first level of your main hard drive. Not sure what your main hard drive is called, but let's say it is called Macintosh HD... if you open that, there is a Library folder in there.

and the other

in your home directory Library folder. (Users/yourname)

it is the former one. I suspect you are checking the latter.

Re: Favourites
Clemens here is what I have discovered.
On Mac which I run 32 bit.
in NI Maschine running vst 2 and Cubase 6 running Vst 3, favourites work as they should.

On PC, Windows 7 64 bit but running NI Maschine and Nuendo 6 and 5.5 as 32bit.

Maschine (vst2) Favourites work
Nuendo 5.5.. favourites work in vst 2 but not vst 3.
Nuendo 6.... favourites work in vst 2 but not vst 3... however with a huge caveat........when I load vst 2 Diva with this build, and then try to close Diva's vst window.. it crashes Nuendo 6.........have done it three times... closing the vst3 version of Diva in Nuendo 6 doesn't cause a crash of Nuendo.

Fwiw, I did notice that recent installers do have 'proper' permissions on all included preset files, while previously, such preset files would in many cases have executable permissions set. Perhaps the issue has something to do with this?

HI, I don't think so... the vst3 and vst2 access the same patches and favourites list right?
works on the vst 2, it is the vst3 that I am having problems with on PC.

The only other explanation I'd have is that Nuendo put VST3s in some sort of sandbox with restricted file permissions - which would explain both the favourites and the crash. Maybe there's a sandboxing option somehwere in Nuendo?

With the Ace soft click on attack problem I was having with the new version....seems to be happening on a range of presets not just the DNR ones.
Have found that on the tweaks page, turning ON the two Envelope Tweak knobs fixes it, which I don't understand at all.

Except the crash doesn't happen with vst3 only with vst 2 and not with nuendo 5.5 using vst 2..

will check the shortcuts...... but if it was indeeed a shortcut problem wouldn't I not be able to see my patches including those that were favourited by other means (that is via vst 2 or prior)

Umm the old Zebra downloads had the 2.5 patches folder in the patch library but it seems to be missing in the newest updates. I'd like to get those presets if possible.
