You mean to renew the WUP for a year? I believe 20-25 dollar. Let me check.

H-Delay native, $15.

But remember, you get one year of support (and major updates) when you purchase, and you only have to renew the WUP if you feel you need an upgrade when that year has passed. There are no disadvantages in having no WUP for a year and then renewing it again. Also, I believe you're always entitled to minor releases (ie, currently, anything within the V9)

Hope this helps.

No problem, took me a few seconds to look up in my Waves account.

I think it's a great delay. I have Timeless these days, but still use it frequently. It's an awesome plugin if you just want a straightforward, nice sounding delay on a track. Sounds very good, a breeze to set up, well supported and stable (provided you're using a supported DAW), I can only recommend it, especially with the current sale.

well, yeah, the current price at jrr shop got me interested

it seems like a nice plug, though it's only mono...very simple to use...feel really solid...not sure why, but it feels like you are really interacting with a real piece of hardware...maybe the chunky dials...maybe the way the delay violently pitch shifts with a change in delay time

i do like it, but it ant special enough for me to justify buying it.....logic's tape delay really has this kinda covered for me

timeless is really great...had to sell that due to financial difficulties and would one day really like to get it back...if i keep buying cheap things i don't really need i won't ever afford the things i really want

timeless is special, rp-delay (which i have) is special..in comparison, h-delay seems a little 'pedestrian'

thanks again for your help :tu:

I see what you're saying, makes lot of sense. For me, it's nice to have at hand (and Logic's tape delay is very nice indeed, I'm using Live these days).
Just one thing, H-Delay is stereo. There may be a mono component, but there's also the stereo one. It does ping pong as well. Just wanted to mention that for the case anyone does a query on KVR.

yes, you are right, there is stereo...but for some reason the stereo and mono > stereo versions did not authorise with the others, so i only found the mono plug when using monosynths..after reading your response i looked further to find i needed to rescan and authorise...don't know what happened there :?

it's actually good i am not so into it because my little experience with waves in the last 24 hours is enough to make me avoid them

first of all, i had to download 700 meg of plugins just to demo the h-delay..also the downloading of the license stuff was a little convoluted and not very clear

then, i got an email asking if all was good with my demos...at that point i hadn't even found the mono version, so i said that i wanted a link to demo the h-delay...got a reply telling me i was already demoing in the package

checked again, found the mono, and replied that i couldn't find a stereo plug at which point i got an automated reply telling me i needed to buy wup for continued support

huh ??

in the middle of a conversation (which, annoyingly, had already been passed between two different customer service guys

oh well, narrow escape :)

thanks again

I fully agree their licensing and demo system is troublesome :)
Cheers!

I think it is quite easy if you already have Waves products. Log into your account, click demo product and install it via WOLI. Activate it in the License Center and..........Yeah, it really is not the easiest system. :D

TheoM wrote:El bo if you are willing to go online during install you can download only the h delay for example rather than downloading the full shebob in advance. I see you've decided against it.. It's a nice delay but for those simple easy to use delays I still go to logic every time. I will need a replacement if I ever go windows though.. If you're into delays you might want to check the nomad liquid delay, and audiodamage ricochet and for a simple tasty logic tape delay type sound, the dubstation
actually, the support guy told me i couldn't demo the plug on it's own...only as part of a package

as for other delays, logic tape is pretty much a go-to....also, the other logic delays cover a lot of ground....

not gonna spend any money on a multi-tap when i have delay designer (despite what chris randall would have you believe )...muti-tap and 'designing' delays is not really my thing...prefer the delay to feed me the inspiration rather than having to program every hit...but delay designer is top-notch

'dubstation' doesn't really give me anything that i don't hace in logic via delays and the pedalboard stuff

'liquid echoes' never did anything for me

really looking for special stuff...rp-delay is a fantastic delay plug in...some real special stuff that i haven't heard elsewhere...i enjoy using that

'timeless 2' was another special plug, more for the ability to 'play' the delay and filter with all that x/y goodness..one day would like it back

the other one i would like to own is 'ohmboyz' for that resonant craaazy shit that only ohmforce can deliver

used to lust over soundtoys, but it's not the place to get into why i won't be getting that (*cough* ilok *cough*)

anyways, i always remember you being a fan of logic's tape delay.....h-delay would be a great replacement (having tried them side-by-side)...the tal-dub's are also really cool

cheers
