I'm probably missing something obvious (it happens!) but -
1 x Adze is better than 3 x Stoooner ... how, exactly?

It's not. Stooner is the 2 channel free version of the 6 channel Adze. Feature wise, other then the number of engines, they are identical, xoxos is just incredibly generous.Syntilla wrote:1 x Adze is better than 3 x Stoooner ... how, exactly?
For my workflow Stooner is actually ideal but I still bought Adze to support xoxos and I hope anyone who finds Stooner useful will do the same! xoxos is definitely worth it!

this is a misi luki cultivar musa. this specimen is already considerably root bound.
with a larger pot (god forbid a tree go in the ground) it can yield what are purportedly among the most delicious of bananas for decades.
without, it's headed to be a dried up piece of dead shit in the desert.

There's not a day that can't be made better with one of xoxos's little essays.Perimeter Sound wrote:Leaf it to xoxos to spell it out with a thousand word substitute ha-ha.
His mind-bendingly original plugins are just the cherry on top.

Really?
No interest in this?
Stoooner's easily worth the asking-price of Adze (and then some). But is anyone actually using it?
Is there a problem with it?
Or is everyone just too blown away by it they've forgotten to shout it from the rooftops?
It's sound may be commonplace ... in a couple of years' time ... but if there's anything out there already that can mangle a sample quite this deliciously, I guess I missed it. Please enlighten me.

I use it and love it!
Il use it with drum samples, of course, but with any kind of sound really, and I love the futuristic/delightfully digital sound it brings.
I just finished a track with 3 stoooners and a ADZE (starded before the arriving of the latest, eh), I love its sound!
I hope it will have its due success, given that, as you said, it looks pretty new in the combination of ease of use, CPU efficiency, cost and sound possibilities!
Xoxos is definitly one of my favourite plugin developper, because of the originality allmost all of his creations have.

I was disappointed you couldn't modulate the spectral filter section with velocity. I also found it a bit unstable in some ways. Or maybe I'm just bad at using it... With a fuller modulation section it would be mind-blowing but as it is it's pretty powerful for tweaking beats.
