Yeah, it has some great functions. But my demo crashes in XP when loading plugins and when trying to open the settings.
Add the outdated formats and not even exs support :(
And no support to get it working either...

I still edit my samples "by hand" using a wav editor. Haven't found any batch processor that does it properly.

I'm not sure what you are saying here, so I've taken it private.

I mean that I don't want to be forced to buy a cd and pay shipping costs for a downloadable product like last time.

So if there's a download only upgrade to the full Translator (from NI edition) I'll probably buy it this weekend.

Translator isn't a downloadable product though. Again, see my private post to you.

Yeah, I get it, the disc is supposed to work as piracy protection and maybe I'll need it later. All this shipping make your prices misleading, a $40 product costs $55 and a $80 product $95. I'll hold off, thanks.

Have to chime in here.

I've downloaded Translator. You also charged me about 10 bux for shipping when all I got were download links.

Regardless of the explanations Garth, you have a cheek - for two reasons:
1. You charge for shipping but only send download links.
2. You advertise products &/or features that are simply not available (Sampler Tools - with one interface).

There, I said it.

Don't know about Sampler Tools, but ChickenSys does send disks. I waited almost 2 yrs for mine because I bought it when 6 wasn't out yet and they were waiting to have 6 on a pressed disk. ChickenSys offers the option for a burned disk if you're in a hurry to get it.

I often wondered why people post incomplete and misleading information on public forums instead of just resolving their issues directly, but I guess that's just the way things are.

There are some products where the CD/DVD's haven't been mass-manufactured yet because they are waiting for some updates. For all those products, like Neils said, we'll send a one-off if requested if the customer really wants the CD immediately.

SamplerTools is an exception because it's a BUNDLE of products. Nitku is correct in saying the ST integrated interface isn't done yet, but the vast core of the product and value to the customer is the three products in the bundle. The generalization of advertising things that don't exist isn't true. And if someone REALLY wanted the CD's for the products in the ST bundle, we'd send it.

Again, the idea is to contact us directly. We sit next to a phone all day and reply to emails while we aren't shipping product. And code the rest of the time.

Don't forget patrolling forums to counter negative publicity ;)

The second point is valid, (edit: and is now taken care of, good work!)

Our apologies, that's old text and should be revised. It's already revised.

It's also on what will be an old web site by later today. =)

No one gets SamplerTools for the integrated interface, they get it for the bundled 3 programs. The integrated interface is in the works and will appear, it's promised and will be delivered. We never said it was already in the product, which seems to be the misunderstanding.

Why not just say what the product does now, and update it when it does more stuff? Instead of saying it does something, and in the next paragraph saying it doesn't do all the things said in the previous paragraph?
SamplerTools is not simply all three Chicken Systems products in one package. It sports a combined interface where you can work on all three types of operations: Conversion, Building, and Managing. You can also use the full-scale interfaces of each program, which (only with SamplerTools) feature expanded functionality built in that takes greater advantage of the other programs.

...

IMPORTANT! These function extensions and integrated SampleTools interface are scheduled to be completed summer quarter 2013. Until then, SamplerTools consists of the special bundle of all three powerful Chicken Systems mainline programs.

Thanks for your interest.

We weren't interested in just selling the 3 products as one, we wanted to do more, so we say that's what the product entails.

The bundled products are 98% of the appeal, and the next paragraph clarifies that the added minor extras are being developed; I dunno, in my mind it's pretty obvious.

Note also the reader knows this going into any purchase or interest, so they know upfront.

The web site is being changed today, I just recast some of the tenses into future tense, if that makes it clearer for you.

(Please be patient with the new web site, it's done but there are several holes in it.)

This thread is about auto-sampling, and it is going into Translator 6.1 and Constructor, both will have their updates up sometime this weekend.

Just in case anyone is interested, we are having a 50% off sale during Memorial Day Weekend, Sampler Tools is discounted pretty heavily, and even more if you already have Translator or another product. www.samplerzone.com/catalog, sale starts tonight.

Yeah, but it's not me posting the misleading information is it? You fully know why people post what they post on these forums. And it often sparks change. BTW, the new Chickensys site looks great.

You charge for CD's that you don't send. You advertise products that don't exist. You advertise realease dates that are best ignored. You first advertised a Sampler Tools realease date as early as 2011.

Moving on, you make useful tools and I thank you for that. But you knowingly engage in false advertising and don't appear to see any problem in doing so.

Good to see you've updated your site at least.

Apologies to all for hi-jacking & deteriorating the thread into a public whinge. I obviously had a bee in my bonnet.

Back to the forum topic - I'm still using Redmatica's Keymap Pro & Auto Sampler. I can't speak highly enough of them. I then use Translator to convert to other formats.

I don't know the legalities, but you still might be able to buy someone's KeyMap/Autosampler licenses for a good price. They're getting a little buggy on Mountain Lion, but mine are still functional and I'll be hanging on to them for dear life.

Another option perhaps.
