I have a bunch of folders of drum samples like kick snare hat in folders as wav. is there any free drum VST that i can just load a folder and it auto places the samples on the pads and names them the same as the filename of the wavs? Either cheap or free. Thanks.

I've never seen any free or cheap drum sampler that loads samples from a folder AUTOMATICALLY...

There are a lot of drum samplers that will load your samples from given folders, but you probably have to set the assignments up and make presets of them. Once the presets are made, they should do what you are wanting....I think.
Do a filtered search here on KVR for Free drum samplers and see if you can find something you like. There are a LOT of them available.

Vendor‑Dependent Copy Protection: Customers lose. Pirates win.
(Also: I'm Accused of lying about Linux—it boots, runs my pro audio workflow, stays stable, updates--though yearly dismissed as “niche”. Yet I'm the deluded one.)

There are tons of free drum samplers but I always had to load the samples manually...

There are only so many free drum machines. There are many threads at KVR about them.
What you are really looking for is a drum machine that has an automatic browser, that when you select a folder and select files from within that folder, it automatically inserts them on the focused VST, on the particular focused pad. How would the VST know which pad it was focused on? I suppose that would be the last pad clicked.
There probably is something out there that does this. But you know, it is probably easier for you to do it yourself. To be fair, you did ask quite a specific question, and I failed to answer it. But maybe you learned something along the way.
Then again, someone else will come along and point you in the right direction. And all my rambling will have been in vain.
