Is it kinda new update? Or just the same version that always have been there?
If it;s the same, then the Blue Compressor is running flawlessly for me in Presonus Studio One 2.5 on Windows 7. My favorite comp btw. The Drive knob drives me crazy, in a positive way.

Yes, it's new. Most important changes are A. a 64 bit version for MAC OSX and B. the auto make-up button with which you can turn off the auto make-up function if desired. Furthermore we added an extra large GUI for easier readability. And we fixed a few bugs: the compressor couldn't be inserted on mono tracks in RTAS & AU, it would randomly crash AU Validation Tool (Logic Pro) and we had a denormal in the code that could cause some CPU-spikes.

I'm definitely interested. If those plugs are anywhere near the quality of your Redline Reverb, I'm sure they're stunning.

I'm still wondering why there is no that much love here on KVR to this compressor. Look-ahead future is working so nicely in there: if you don't like clicks caused by the short attack, look-ahead completely remove it. This comp is just intended for minimal electronic lovers. The results are always so warm, but still keeps the input signal distinguishable. It shapes kikcs so well, i don't know any other comp that can do this so well. The drive function sounds so pleasant, it doesn't give any harsh distortion but only smooth saturation. I wish it (this kind of saturation) was added to the existent 112db saturation plugin.

I'm running OS X Logic 9.1.8 64-bit and have a few current projects that would be great for beta-ing a compressor!

Not really a public beta if it requires a previous versions license is it?

Thanks for the praise! I honestly don't know why there's not much enthusiasm in the forums. Personally we are quite happy with the result, and we had some good reviews in magazines as well. And it's not that its only useful for minimal electronic lovers, we also had some very positive responses from people working in post production for example.

By the way the drive function in Redline Preamp is almost identical to the one in the compressor. The big difference is the addition of the Choke. In combination with the Drive you get this nice warm sound.

'Public' is meant here as opposed to 'only for a selected group of beta testers'. By the way, if you have a demo license you can test the plugins as well. And if you have already 'used up' your demo license, you only have to let me know that you want to test, and I'll send you a beta license.
