Hi there

I've been having a problem with sylenth1, absynth5 and some other plug-ins in ableton 9 live. i've been trying to follow tutorials on youtube. but my sound does not sound as good. I have compared the init patch sound from some tutorials with the sound from my plug-ins, and it's different. the sound from the tutorial sounds more full.

I was wondering if my computerhardware or speakers could have something to do with it. But i don't think thats the reason, even though i use some small desktop speakers, i find it strange that they should be the problem, since they are able to play the nice sounding init patches from the tutorials.

my assumption may be wrong since i am a noob, so i would like to ask if anyone know if the hardware or my speakers could be the problem or could it be some settings in ableton?

I use a Macbook pro 13'inch, 2.3 GHz intel core i5, 4GB DDR3. OS X 10.8.3.

I appreciate any advice, thanks.

Maybe the difference in volume? That can do trick to the brains of even the more experienced people even if the difference is very small. Or then you just like the sound of the encoded audio :)

The video tutorials might have been compressed.

Could also be run through a desk, in which case, you'd get that nice warm analog sound as well.
I will take the Lord's name in vain, whenever I want. Hail Satan! And his little goblins too.
