I have bought the Accordion libraries from them some years ago because I thought I will never succeed in playing Accordion (even if I'm Bavarian

)

I think all Precision libraries sound quite good. And they're reasonable priced...

Thanks, they seem to have a lot of quality instruments at very affordable prices, especially at 50% off.

For these small prices you get much value... They're not (as great as) Vienna Symphonic Orchestra, but if you're searching for inexpensive good multi sample libraries and Kontakt programs, you'll find much quality. Especially if you want to have samples from "exotic" and rare instruments...

Thanks for the nice comments! (I do the Kontakt scripting for several of these libraries, but also use them as a musician.)

The Moldova Concert Cimbalom is an oldie but a goodie - one of my personal favourites.

The more recent Gospel Drawbars has a great range of tones - you can split registers across the keyboard or stack them on top of one another for some big textures.

And synaesthesia is right about the Kantele - it has a lovely sweet character.

How are the vocal samplesets? Are they any good. Most of them sound the same. Which ones would you get?

I have got the Kantele (already mentioned) and if you have any use for that kind of sound I'd strongly recommend it, it's really a joy to listen to. I have also just ordered the Indian Surmandal, but can't comment on it yet.

As to the Vocal sound sets - you should take into account that they are called Vocal "Pads" and (but only judging from the demos) probably are not - and supposedly aren't meant to be - heading in the direction of "realistic vocal performance" (e. g. compared to Realivox's "Ladies").

I think the strengths of Precision Sound is in creating sample libraries from rare and exotic instruments. The vocal pads couldn't convince me, and I would rather prefer their instruments...

But if you use them for making new samples (if you get a license therefore), they could be a great raw material...

Another +1 for the Kantele and the accordions (surprising enough for me, as I'm more into strings actually...).

@iain - I'd like to give you some credit for your work.
IMHO you just provide the right amount of scripting (not to much, not to less)
especially to the acoustic instruments.
Hopefully some older libs will see also some update with your work.

And thanks to the fine folks here - think I might check out the Indian Surmandal - the demo sounds convincing...

I picked up the Swedish Key Harp. Nice! Running it in Machfive with mixed results. Soundfonts work well there, but the nkis crash on key release (except for noises and plucking, strangely). Anyway, cool sound. I better wait until I acquire Komplete to buy more.

. Enjoying some of the free stuff as well...

I have all the fun machine and toy sf2 I want but the Eminent 275. I think it sounds the best from the demos, but I'm not motivated to buy it. I seem to be the only person I know interested in ultra cheese lounge. I've been spending my time pleasing others lately. Maybe when I'm 120 I'll acquire the real thing.

That's really kind, thank you very much!

Lars and I work hard to keep things simple and useable. Keeping compatibility with Kontakt 3 (except for a few special cases) helps to streamline the interfaces too.

We're doing scripted updates for older instruments as time allows, which are free for existing owners of the instruments.

We haven't tested importing the NKIs into MachFive, although I do have that program and can check the Key Harp if it's a problem for you. If the soundfont imports correctly, could you try dragging and dropping the release samples to a new layer, and setting the layer to trigger on release?
