Add & Multiply in the Modulation Matrix

How to make that sound...

Hi there,

What's the difference between Add & Multiply in the modulation matrix (for example SynthMaster). I've searched the manual but couldn't find anything about it.

Thanks,

My assumption would be that it means exactly what it says: "Multiply" multiplies modulated signal by modulating signal, while "Add" adds modulating signal to modulated signal.

If I am correct, then the common option would be to use multiply: i.e. LFO at full amount usually goes from 0 to 1. If you apply LFO to volume then the resulting output will be equal to [LFO x Volume], where LFO is in range from 0 to 1, while volume remains constant.
Wonder whether my advice worth a penny? Check my music at Soundcloud and decide for yourself.

Thanks Loki Fuego,

I know now the 'multiply' is the 'normal' or default behaviour for the modulation.

I thought it is the same concept with FM synthesis, Modulator and Carrier. The Modulator (like LFOs) don't have sound just 'instruction' or modifying the wave of the pitch or volume, while the Carrier (the target here) can produce sound. I'll try to search more about it.
