Hey guys, any of you notice any mixing problems here?

Thanks in advance, i'm trying to work the kick in with the bass primarily.

seems very well crafted to my ears, I'm listening on a laptop.

I agree, mix sounds good on my end as well.

Good headphones (Grado SR80) on my iPad. Sounds really good. The bass drum seems to sit in front of the synth bass.

I really like the kick and snare/clap samples, sounds audien styled to me, can you tell me the samples and if possible the processing?

Way too much bass :?

Apart from that it sounds good, kick/bassline friendship works :)

Sounds great and punchy on my Adam A7s, but I have no sub attached so I can't really judge the low end 100%.

+1

+ the higher notes of the bass are way louder than the lower ones, maybe compression?
On the other hand, it might be a Fletcher-Munson thing, so EQing might be a better idea.

Overall sounds very good though :)

Sounds great to me. I can see where the people are coming from saying the bass is too loud, but I think for that type of music its acceptable to a certain degree. Plus I find it hard to judge based on that loop as overall frequency balance also plays an important role. That being said, I don't mind the higher bass notes too much as it gives your mix a certain edge (sorry don't know the english word for it), I would just keep in mind the rest of the mix and see how it relates to eachother.

Sonically my mixes sound pretty similar, although I tend to slam my master a bit more. But I have one question: How did you get the kick in front of the bass, what to look out for? I always try to get my lowend sounding like this, but my kick always sits 'in' the bass, not in front of it.

I think that the kick have very prominent high frequencies, while the bass have none and is filtered pretty tightly, which pushes the bass back in the mix, while making the kick seem very upfront.

Exactly what I was thinking when I wrote that above.

What i meant by the loud bass regards not just to notes or sound, but to low end frequencies. Im pretty bass sensitive and i when i start to feel seasick and my left ear goes numb, then i know there's too much bass (low end). I've heard it only ever in ... gimme an alternative word for amateur please, it sounds a little bad and i don't mean the op is a newbie at all! It could be his or her monitoring system. If you compare this to other tracks in that genre im sure you could hear the difference.

My preferred music these days is techno and there's never a shortage of bass there, but it's never this much.

When the bass sounds too loud on my Grado's, I know it's too loud! I would definitely be toning it down on this track, if anything to draw more attention to the higher frequencies, which are really quite nice.

I agree that the bass is too loud. I can feel too much of it with my feet, which means that my subwoofer works too much.
Wonder whether my advice worth a penny? Check my music at Soundcloud and decide for yourself.
