Pipped at the post on ebay this morning for an access virus.
cheered myself up by buying a new korg kronos 61. As a special deal, it's being upgraded by korg australia to kronosX specs with a 2nd SSD and extra RAM.
$2500 australian.
Wheeee!
I'm tired of being insane. I'm going outsane for some fresh air.

just a note. got a virus t2i desktop.

two things: it's a real strong synth in the 'real world', but it's got it's competition in the virtual world! from what i've seen so far, any of lush-101, diva, ace, ray-blaster, gladiator, and largo can hold their own against the virus (at least, a virus in the hands of a novice). we'll see...

the virus works real well as a glue in other groups of h/w synths. tried it in an ensemble of a kurz k2500rs and a venom (which was surprisingly 'solid' in that group). the k25000 and the virus work real well together. the acoustic instruments on the k25 sound real rich in a background of pads on the virus. going to try the virus and an ion together soon. an ion + k2500rs combo i tried once didn't work. the k25 blew the ion away. couldn't push the k into the background provided by the ion (other than by turning it down so low it couldn't be heard).

anyway, back in the real world (for now) with cables going everywhere and hooking up midi ins and outs and audio into mixers and keyboards under foot...wow...hmmm. forgot what that was like... think that virus is going to see more action as a vsti!
overthrow KRAPITALISM ! you have nothing to lose but your claims.

Yes, I would agree with that. I actually think DIVA sounds more like the analog synths I love than the Virus does. However, once you get more into layering and automating the Virus, I think you'll appreciate quite a bit more.

Yes, the Total Integration is easily the best part about it. I would use just about any synth that has it, that feature alone would make me forgive just about any sin.
