How about a mutation of off-topic's 'picture of the day' epic thread? Post a sound you recorded/edited/generated today.

proposed game rules:
- only post a sound YOU generated by yourself or non-musical environment sound YOU recorded,
- describe generation process,
- keep it simple, no multisamples, no patches, just a single wave, say no longer than a minute,
- by posting a file in this thread you grant any fellow KVR-ian license to free use of posted sound in her/his own musical composition of any kind.

I'm not too good with formulating formal statements, so if you'd like to correct the rules, go on and post.

So I start.

The old squeaky door handle - zip archive

mp3 preview file

Some time ago I was spending time in an old mountain house, my bedroom door had interestingly rusty-squeaky door handle. Here's some noises I made by manipulating it. I edited this today out of much longer recording.

wav, 26 sec, 96/24, 12MB
recorded with Zoom H2n

I would add another "rule." Link to a playable file if possible. :hihi:

Yes, a kind of "preview" would be nice, but is it worth to make it mandatory request?

Post

Of course, not mandatory. :D
