This was done for a remix competition on another forum. As such, apologies if it sounds a bit rushed, I ran out of time before today's deadline so its not mastered and there were a few other bits I wanted to put in.
I watched some interviews with them talking about starting out as a guitar based band so I kept the remix "live sounding" and threw some live guitar in as well. Full circle.
With that in mind, feel free to have a listen:

You're really good, Jordana, IMO,
I guess banger is what I'm looking for,
liked the conventional instruments in there too.
Will check ur SC now if the darn thing will work

didn't really notice that it lacked polish,
would give the finished track a listen if u wanna finish it

Rippin track.
I love that the 'new school' of it doesnt drop in immediately.

187?
I knew you waaay back, in the 412.
I only recently heard that they took down the Quality Rolls sign.
Heard many many many of your sets.
I cant even tell ya how cool it is to see you are still around making good music.

Yes. It's me. It seems like a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away....highkoo wrote:Rippin track.

Wow. It's a shame that the label didn't want to use the picture of it I had wanted. They always did whatever the hell they wanted to do art wise on my albums and there is not one album cover from them that I am happy with. Its a bit embarrassing that they adorned those CDs. More embarrassing was being asked to give out posters with said artwork and autograph them for fans at in-store appearances, at the WMC, etc.I only recently heard that they took down the Quality Rolls sign.
This is what it should have been:
Despite their best efforts I always tried to have references to the city. Despite where I went in life I always wanted people to know where I came from.
I guess they wanted me to be known as a "New York Artist". Sadly, I often see things that refer to me as such.
Heard many many many of your sets.
I cant even tell ya how cool it is to see you are still around making good music.
Thank you. I'm happy I could make some music that made you happy and that you still like what I am up to musically. DnB however is no longer my main project, though I am planning on finishing my magnum opus of a final DnB album sometime next year.
The other stuff I'm doing is way more exciting for me
So you're on kvr, obviously you make music, so I'd love to hear it. Can you point me to it?[/img]

If you listen to Rainbows Not Enough on my Soundcloud those are my vocals so you can get an idea what I sound like.
Thank you, it will be on the new album. I wanted to revisit the theme from the opening track on When Worlds Collide but from an alternate timeline/universehighkoo wrote: (That OVNI track is absolutely fantastic!)
I feel I am writing the best stuff of my life right now. Freedom to write what I like (without a label) will do that.
Thank you. Really like Bamboozled. Love it actually. I love the juxtaposition of the house elements with the ragtime music and vocal.highkoo wrote:Lady J wrote: So you're on kvr, obviously you make music, so I'd love to hear it. Can you point me to it?

It reminds me of the first time I heard this classic in a hot, steamy warehouse party above a soup kitchen somewhere near The Hill. DJ Vic Money spun it and the place went nuts!! The whole place was shaking. I thought the building would collapse!

Thanks. Like I said, I think i'm doing my best work in the genre at the moment. That tune and others will hopefully be forthcoming on Complex Records out of Bristol, UK next year.highkoo wrote:Thanks for checkin it out!!
