Hi, could you add an option to put a plugin offline, so it doesn't take any cpu resource? actually bypass a plugin doesn't free the 100% on cpu.
Also you should add a way to bypass a plugin directly in the mixer and not only in the device panel. Something like alt-click or shift-click on the plugin slot should toggle bypass/unbypass state.
cheers!

not the best way to get rid of that problem, but a workaround:
VST processing is coupled at the Audioengine as it seems. This Means: As long as the Audioengine in a project is not running VSTs are offline as well.
Create 2 Projects, one as Main Workspace, the other for "Parking" VSTs that are CPU Hogs. You can Record your Stuff in the Main Project (and Bounce to Audion if you want to go 100% Save) and copy/paste or cut/paste the CPU intensive VSTs to the 2nd, inactive Project to save CPU. If you need them again you can do the Same the other way around (copy/cut and Paste from inactive to active Project).
As long as the Audioengine on your 2nd Project is off no VSTs in that project get processed. For Chains of Synths/FX the Container is a verry handy thing for working as i described.
