Track's wave form visible while recording?

In T4, can wave form on the clip be visible while recording?
or if it does on T5, I may just upgrade.
Right now, it is just simple blank color but when I hit stop it will be a wave.

Not at the moment. It has been requested so perhaps we'll see it in T6.

And when they do, I'll turn that option off, to save the resources while recording audio.

You don't get the waveforms live, but you do see the small meters on each track you are recording (left), plus if a track is selected, you see the large recording meters for THAT track at the bottom... ?

Or use Ctrl-Alt-M to toggle big input meters on the tracks
