Re-install of T4

I'm still getting a weird occasional instance of T5 asking for disc 2 when I load up RMV and then crashing so I thought I would uninstall T5 and re-install. However, the download I can get from the Tracktion site is based on the upgrade (I own T4). How do I get the full version, as T4 is uninstalled on my computer and I don't want to put it back on.

It shouldn't make a difference. It the install querying what you have? Each version should install as long as you've got the licence on the Tracktion site. Just log in when it asks you to and it should be fine.

The file I downloaded is only 7MB which doesn't look enough for the main file to me.

That's the one. Mine for 32-bit Windows T5 was 6.9MB.

Oh really....OK....will try it. To confirm...you didn't upgrade, you installed T5 from scratch?

As far as I'm aware all the Tracktion versions are stand alone,they don't upgrade from say 4 to 5 in the traditional sense. In fact you can have T4 & 5 on the same machine and will operate independently of each other.

I went from T3 to T5 directly, and can freely go back and forth between them. Default install, XP.

Surprised me, actually, that basic stuff (just Midi and audio) created in T5 works properly in T3 - but didn't try anything with the drum loops or Melodyne...

Yes. Otherwise it would be a faff to put on a new PC. You can have it on a desktop and on a laptop, all at no extra charge.

Thanks guys. Re-installing T4 appears to have fixed the problem.
