Hey guys,

I'm trying to record some audio using Camtasia with limited success.

A massive hindrance Camtasia has is that it doesn't record ASIO driver. In FL Studio, I can just revert to the standard windows drivers and I can then record the system audio. In Bitwig, I believe the standard windows driver is 'Windows WASAPI'.

When I enable this driver, restart Bitwig (rechecking the driver has been saved) and record via Camtasia, Camtasia is still not recording the system audio :( I believe this to be something to do with Bitwig if I'm able to do this using a different DAW.

Anyone here have any ideas how I may overcome this?! Much appreciate you reading this, and I look forward to any responses

it's working for me with the WASAPI driver (Camtasia 8.4.0)

Is that recording both the audio within Bitwig AND your microphone at the same time?!

Would you mind sharing your settings with me please, I've been tweaking for literally hours spread across a number of days and have run out of options :(

Here are my audio settings within Bitwig.

I've not used WASAPI much due to several problems, but as I understand it, exclusive mode is something that you probably don't want enabled on bitwig. Exclusive mode gives that program sole use of the audio device and will prevent any other programs or apps from being able to use it, which would mean that Camtasia is unable to gain access :/

Having a second audio interface might make what you're doing easier, and also a program called JACK might help. But I'm afraid I've never tried to do what you're doing so have no solid experience :) Hope my suggestions help though!

The problem with Camtasia is for some incredibly bizzarre reason, it doesn't support ASIO drivers!! meaning I have to resort to using windows own drivers.

I tried turning off exclusive mode but it's still not recording the system audio. :( Appreciate your help though bro!
