I don't have to talk with Egypt deities to know that BlackWinny is a scientist of utmost trust and high moral character, too - otherwise he wouldn't have cared about Guido at all. Because he didn't have ANY financial interest in hosting his synths. And instead of a word of thanks, now dnekm is praised as the savior of Algomusic?

Since no one answered the questions about Atomic and Enceladus: I may be wrong, but I believe it's because Boris Kovalev was involved with those two, and is currently MIA- therefore he can't be asked for permission to release them. Sucks, but there it is.

My suspension period ran out, hence how I'm able to log in and post again. I guess it takes a while for the board notification to change, but for your problem, either way, leave or don't it's your call, but by the looks of it, it might be a good idea if you took a little break.

glad these plugins are finally up to everyone's satisfaction and with Guido's official blessing.

i hope this thread does not fall prey to the stupid arguments that locked the other thread.

i never saw a problem with blackwhinney hosting these. i don't understand why Guido let all that bickering happen. i also bet that most of the interested readers of that thread have already downloaded these months ago. i already had them so i just wanted to see these great synths continue on.

i do hope Dr. Ambient will release everything he has including unreleased stuff!

maybe we can discuss other aspects of these plugins now that all is resolved. And much good luck to Guido. and thank you to our new hoster!

As was mentioned here, and by Dr Ambient in the other thread, he does not want any plugins which were collaborations with other developers to be redistributed without the permission of those he collaborated with. I think all three of these are on that list.

Daniel, I'd suggest that that be mentioned in the first post of this thread, and perhaps on your website itself.

I can totally understand that, but... all I can say is: too bad. Those were the coolest of the bunch. Well I guess one can't have everything, I guess

Everything else is just too old or not my cup of tea, but regardless, kudos to Guido for the generosity and thanks to the person hosting the plugins

Are we trying to imply something here, Tricky?

I actually do consider it an honour to host these instruments, as the M42 was among my very first VSTi purchases back in 2005.

As far as any other instruments - I have left everything up to Guido/Dr. Ambient. I have let him know he has full control of the content of that page, even down to altering just one word if he so desires. As far as I am concerned that page is his, to do with as he wishes. I am just hosting it for him.

Patience....

Please realize that not only do our schedules differ but there are also his health concerns to take into consideration. Our communication with each other may be slow.

M42 is very capable, you can midi-learn the distortion module,
and use reaper with a logitech joystick, to manipulate the distortion.

M42 can also load a soundfont, so a grand piano sf2 can be
nicely embellished with the synth sounds and effects.
Hopefully good stewardship of these instruments, will bring
some peace, health, and inspiration to those who worked on them.
