Dialling in knobs with the middle mouse button seems to be quicker than clicking and dragging...

..for me this would be so handy,

what do you guys think? :)

Touch is the future!!! :P

Just kiddin' in terms of that it cannot replace everything.

I think the devs won't introduce too much functionality that relies on hardware features which aren't supported by all devices. Nevertheless mouse wheel for knobs/faders/values would be a nice addition.

u can emulate it, with pressed left button + mousewheel
~LButton & WheelDown::MouseMove 0,2,0,R
~LButton & WheelUp::MouseMove 0,-2,0,R

Yes yes, I want this. What's the problem with adding the functionality for those who can use it?

None of course. ;) Maybe devtime.

i just asked in the past for this option but i think they don't considerate as a priority or considerate at all...on osx you can up and down with 3 fingers control on touchpad,,,i don't understand they don't add an option to activate or deactivate this function for normal mouse users...we will see :)

this was their answer.
"in Bitwig Studio the scroll wheel is already used for scrolling.
In the plugin, there's nothing to scroll, so they can make use of the scroll wheel for different things than scrolling."

i don't like that there are too much mouse dragging is going on in bitwig.
i also requested up/down arrow control for knobs and parameters.
they were thinking
"parameters as textboxes into the inspector that can be typed into and changed with the cursor keys. not totally sure about if and when"
hope it is implemented soon. :P

it must be context sensitive, if the mouse is on a scroll bar it will scroll, on a volume it will adjust the volume etc. Basic stuff i guess
