T4 solid, upgraded tonight and T6, latest build, is farting and spitting all over the place.
Have 7 cores out of 8 selected. I read somewhere that was a good idea.
Am running at 1.5ms in T4 completely flawlessly, don't expect to have to drop it down.
Possibly graphics redraw related, cant be sure.
Also, all Waves Lord Alge Collection are naming themselves as Waveshells, as opposed to their actual plug in names. Minor bugette there.
Anything obvious I should be doing, or is this early build blues?
Only cost me £20 but i'm a bit underwhelmed right now. Need to get another colour scheme too.
Cant read the filter names.
TIA.

Underwhelmedness tempered by Melodyne code dropping in inbox.
Fair play to T for that.
Will that work in other daws? Im just asking..

Have just downloaded T5. No glitches. And T4 has been stable for months on this system.
Am having definite problems in T6 (latest and archive versions) with mouse movements causing stuttering and am getting the odd proper glitch. If I quickly pass the mouse over 2 certain tracks it starts the spluttering. Strange. this is an i7 chip with 16gb ram and has chopped through all that ive asked of it with consummate ease.
Have removed plug ins one by one and cant seem to trace it to that.
Have just noticed in T6.0.15 that my temporary directory is still set to app data\roaming\tracktion4\temporary
Would this have anything to do with it? Don't get why T6 is struggling to play back songs with only 22% showing on T6s CPU meter.

The other odd, and currently very annoying, thing is, to my ears T6 sounds WAAAAAY better than any previous version .

Might be worth getting Sysinternals' ProcMon or similar running in the background to help find the cause of your glitching.
[W10-64, T5/6/7/W8/9/10/11/12/13, 32(to W8)&64 all, Spike],[W7-32, T5/6/7/W8, Gina16] everything underused.

Thanks but this is very much T6 specific. Am doing a major Win 7update at the moment. Will see if that fixes things.jabe wrote:Might be worth getting Sysinternals' ProcMon or similar running in the background to help find the cause of your glitching.
Its graphics related im sure. T4&T5 are good as gold.

Have been running dpc latency checker for 45mins. Not gone higher than 98 absolute maximum. Regularly sat at 30-40. No red spikes at all. A sea of green manhattans. Yet playback is still audibly breaking up. This is only in T6.T4 and 5 are fine.

Probably not relevant, but I'm currently running hard drive speed tests. Don't know why it didn't occur to me before.

this probably isn't relevant either but ALL I have done today is try to prove to companies that I have paid good money too that I am a legitimate owner of their software.
Most notably Waves, who, because I was toggling my Ethernet on /off to troubleshoot the earlier problem decided that my licences weren't valid unless I was on the net. I am now wrestling with the melodyne install and several others.
I am quickly getting to the point where I don't need all this complicated SHIT in my life.
I PAID THE MONEY GIVE ME THE F******G STUFF!!!!
Music has stopped being fun due to this mountain of security.
I (almost) quit

Any luck getting T6 to stop glitching? If so, do tell!
I'm having trouble with T6 and the RME Fireface 800. It run's glitch free for a few minutes, then the T CPU meter starts creeping up and eventually starts to degrade audio with glitches. If the plug load is not too heavy, the CPU will eventually chill back down to normal and the audio regains it's legs. After a few more minutes the same pattern emerges. I've disabled plugs and the pattern persists, yet with much longer periods of glitch free audio.
I'm working with the T dev team, yet there's resistance to putting in the resources to solve issues on such an old device. The RME drivers are being pointed to as the likely suspect, yet the FF runs perfectly in T3 and Reaper is not displaying this issue.
The RME driver once again contains an option to enable Windows MMCSS mode, which unfortunately does not resolve this issue.
Dell D630 dual core, W7 32-bit, 4 GB RAM, 1 TB HD, TI chipset PCMCIA card, latest RME firmware and drivers.

Just curious - have you checked your free RAM availability on the CPU? I have found that audio in general tends to degrade once the resource monitor shows memory use going beyond 90% . Audio can be surprisingly CPU intensive, and having to swap in and out of the disk affects audio.
