yea, still it introduces latency wich is compensated by Bitwig and therefore produces negative delay. Exactly like the latency delay wich is free..
i use it as well for bass and the result is the same. So, no need to spend 75 € or whatever if you just need that feature.

What are you, The Edgiest Poster? I can probably get it from a shady download website and run it in demo mode, I'm just hoping to avoid that. Where's the harm in me previewing the new features before I make the decision to buy?Suloo wrote:no

Well that's a proper answer then, thanks. I suppose I'll just have to wait.Ogopogo wrote:They disabled the demo mode for the betas. It checks your license so if you're not on the list its a no go.
I still think opening up the betas for everyone to try the new features is a pretty good idea.

They are going to do that as soon as things calm down with the new audio engine is my understanding.
Speaking of which....the quantity and velocity of activity on this beta thread seems to have decreased quite a bit. Should we take that as a sign things are more stable now and a larger beta release might be near...?

I would take it as a sign for it being summer and vacation time...gesslr wrote:Speaking of which....the quantity and velocity of activity on this beta thread seems to have decreased quite a bit. Should we take that as a sign things are more stable now and a larger beta release might be near...?
But yeah, so far this beta is quite good.
Cheers,
Tom

Well other than beta2 killing VSTs on Windows, there aren't any regressions, so hopefully it's getting closer for more people, but yeah, Dom said vacation time at Bitwig.gesslr wrote:They are going to do that as soon as things calm down with the new audio engine is my understanding.

It's getting harder for me to find stuff just using it.

VSTs are already fixed in Beta 3.TeotiGraphix wrote:Well other than beta2 killing VSTs on Windows, there aren't any regressions, so hopefully it's getting closer for more people, but yeah, Dom said vacation time at Bitwig.

Used Beta 3 yesterday the whole to day to work on a new song. It's pretty stable by now. Only got one crash and love the recovery function! Just restart; everything is still like before the crash; click on "send report". Done

That's what I meant, as soon as beta3 was released I installed it and all those VST issues dissapeared as well.moss wrote:VSTs are already fixed in Beta 3.TeotiGraphix wrote:Well other than beta2 killing VSTs on Windows, there aren't any regressions, so hopefully it's getting closer for more people, but yeah, Dom said vacation time at Bitwig.

I meant there aren't really any regressions in beta3, running smooth.

I think Bitwig is on "summer vacation" right now, it's been quite. When they get back I am sure they will be heads down twice as fast as this last two months. Getting away from code is totally refreshing for a programmer.spinlud wrote:Hello there!
Any rumor about when the beta will be extended to other badge customers?_?

Hope they will fix the audio engine problems and the second launch problem ( Bitwig only starts once and then you have to restart your user) with El Capitan.
