Orange Tree automation isn't working in Cubase...

Hi whenever I push a controller down to activate the whole step slide-in in Orange Tree and I have the 'write automation' in Cubase on , the automation won't record it so when I play it back with automation read on it won't play back the automation.
What do I do?

I'm assuming you're talking about the whole step slide-in articulation in an Evolution guitar library? That actually doesn't need to be automated--you use the built-in mapping controls to assign it to a velocity range, MIDI CC, keyswitch, etc.
